I wish Troy Duran wouldn’t use the super bass voice on younger characters. When he narrates in alto it’s so much easier to listen to for a character under 50. His super bass gives off hot grandpa or Sam Shepard silver fox vibes. Not young hockey gods. Other than that, I love his narration style and he’s a talented actor. The story of 4 hotties super obsessed with one ordinary girl hit all my fave tropes!

50/50 plot and spice, ok maybe 40/60 plot and spice🔥

This book will keep your interest and give you all the spicy goodness you want. Four beautiful guys and one lucky little lady! Hot, Hot, Hot!

The spice was there and the plot was interesting- with a good twist- but the book just wasnt hitting all the spots for me. There are definitely good spice scenes and I especially love 2 in this book but the FMC still felt naive and helpless and the MMCs could have been developed a little better. Overall, it was okay. I love both narrators and CR Jane so I bought both books. Not sure about this collaboration though

I really liked this duet. Normally I’m not a fan of May Dawson, but being teamed up with CR Jane? That made it OK. I won’t read you the synopsis as you can see that in the preview of the book, however I will tell you it was very exciting. I’m thinking this is a new foray into the RH world for these ladies?? as the “joining” with everybody at times was a bit awkward, yes some of it flowed, but some of it was just not as spïcy as it could be.
We got to hear a bit more about what happened to Kennedy and her relationship with the guys. I would almost like to see them in high school and read the story of how they met to be honest. That one would probably keep my attention from beginning to end. Not like this one didn’t, I just liked book one a little better and hoped for a bit more from this book. I am a diehard, CR Jane fan so I can tell her writing right away throughout the story and on those parts I couldn’t put it down and drove a little bit for me and other parts not sure who wrote what but this wasn’t my favorite for CR.
That all being said, I still loved every second of it. I listened and read it was so good that I couldn’t stop in between and had to listening while I was driving! Troy Duran Duran, and Alexis Paige did an amazing job as always. There are two of my favorites and I’m never left unsatisfied.
All in all, a really good book about friendships being broken and reconnection made your good second chance romance. I’m on my way working back through CRJ‘s catalog as I love love love this author. Relatively new to me, but one of my favorites instantly!

I absolutely love how the narrators love these characters to life!! The story is so gritty and compelling! I was screaming when I found out the twist because I called it and knew it!! Not all of it but most! I adore Kennedy and her men! Simply scrumptious! There were some heartbreaking moments but man the spice!! Heck yeah!! I love CR and her naughty mind!!

The heroine: Kennedy - someone had tried to kill her five years ago and since then she had amnesia and has been trying to recover her memories. Though she had no help since nobody came to claim her when she was in a coma. Lately, ever since she got a job at the professional hockey arena, her memories have started to come back. She has fallen for four different men, three of them Hockey players and the other a mafia kingpin. She knew that they were all part of her past, and were keeping secrets and not helping with her memories.

The Heroes: Sebastian, Carter & Jack - Professional hockey players and the three star players of their team (one a forward, one a defenseman and one a goalie). They protected Kennedy when someone tried to kill her by making her disappear while she was in a coma, by making all records of her disappear as well. They were protecting her from themselves, from their old friend Greyson and from whomever wanted her dead.

Greyson - known as “The Jackal”, he is the leader of the Jackals mafia organization. He was completely and utterly obsessed with Kennedy. He grew up with the other guys and Kennedy. The four guys had all played hockey together in High School and they all started working for the Jackals while growing up, but the other three gave it up to play pro hockey, but Greyson became the Kingpin. Since then, there has been a huge rift between Greyson and the guys.

The Story: when Kennedy was almost abducted again, she wanted all four of her men to be there for her. Though they couldn’t stop fighting long enough to be there for her. She left while they were fighting and someone tried to kill her again, and she started to remember some things, though she wasn’t even sure if it was really happening or if she was just remembering when someone hit her with a car in the past. All she knew was that she couldn’t count of the men she loved.

I really liked that this book started out so similarly to the first one, I thought that was pretty great. It got exciting pretty quickly and there was a ton of action. I liked the fact that the guys finally started working together to protect Kennedy. That is always my favorite point in a reverse harem, when the heroine and all her guys start acting like a family. Like the first book, there were some inconsistencies in the book. Like the fact that the three guys played professional hockey but never seemed to go to away games. I liked the way Kennedy’s memories came back one by one, and finding the people behind the attempts on her life was an interesting storyline.

This audiobook was in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Alexis Paige and Troy Duran. Troy is one of my favorite male narrators. He has a deep, sexy voice and I could listen to him all day long. Alexis Paige has a very pleasant voice which sounds to be the perfect age for Kennedy. Overall, the narration is terrific.

This duet’s conclusion delivers everything: passion, danger, and redemption. Kennedy uncovers her memories while juggling love, and betrayal. Each man brings something unique—Greyson’s dark possessiveness, Sebastian’s loyalty, Carter’s warmth, and Jack’s grounding presence. The blend of mafia drama and hockey rivalries keeps the tension sizzling, with twists you won’t see coming. The spice is scorching, the banter sharp, and the emotional stakes sky-high. Their love for Kennedy takes center stage, with no unnecessary outside drama—just raw passion and hard-won trust. By the end, you’ll be rooting for this bizarre family of misfits. Dark, dangerous, and oh so addictive, this duet is a must for lovers of heat with a side of mayhem.

Just enough darkness, heated scenes, plot and perfectly written! I don’t usually leave written reviews, but this definitely deserves all the stars. Looking forward to other books. Thank you!

Enticing read for ladies! Enjoy every moment! Good story line with lots of excitement. Some difficulty since the male voice actor covers all four men.
