The team went further afield in Wales in this book. Love the descriptions of the area that they found themselves in.Almost felt like I could see it and experience it. Interesting plot with many twists. Surprise ending mixed with a bit of sadness. Once again, another great book. It was well worth the listen.

This series is very satisfying with an engaging mystery every time but, more importantly, with interesting, complex returning characters. The bonus is the narrator who has found a distinct voice that fits the lead detective perfectly - low, measured but in a manner that has you leaning in. And the occasional Welsh place name or phrase? Lovely.

I really am enjoying all of the series very much. I enjoy the progression of all the relationships and am looking forward to the next one.

This book was hard to follow because there was too much of the team and their interactions and too little plot. Not a good one at all.

Christians are allowed to have their own opinions and lifestyle. Not every Christian is a killer. This author basically states all Christians because of our beliefs are "bigots of the first order." No. What I believe as a Christian is just as valid as what this author believes as an atheist. The theme and motives in this book are very overused. Gay man who resorts to multiple murders. Christians presented as mean overbearing bigots.

Not 20 minutes into this one and I am done. Can't even pay attention due to the judgmental take on anything to do with a lifestyle this author does not agree with. I've had it with authors who want to tell us how to live our lives, what politics to believe in, or misogynists who judge women by their bodies. Done and will not be reading anything written by this author again.

Well performed and written with a well thought through plot. However the first 60% of story is rather slow full of rather unnecessary chatter
