The book gives you so many good ideas and does it with such wit and humor that you find yourself laughing and agreeing as if the author is speaking directly to you. I also love that it’s not a typical “how to” book. I am doing some of the cleaning all at once, but I think it’s the approach I will be able to take on an ongoing basis to keep things a little more simplified in my life,
I highly recommend it to everyone!
Fantastic & Super Helpful!

I've lost my husband, mother-in-law, and 2 sisters in the space of 3 years, and I hate STUFF! My kids know not to buy me more "things," and I've wanted a roadmap ti clear away what doesnt bring me joy or fit my current lifestyle. However, I DISLIKE IKEA! Not just the store, but the actual style of sterile, straight lines in grayish, overcast tones that are uncomfortable. I prefer the uncommonly graceful, elegant, comfortable curves of Queen Anne, so the concept of trying to imitate a style I detest in every other sentence (hyperbolic, I know), turns me off.
I've also had to sell the family home and move into an apartment far away from family, so the thought of turning an old wheel into a light fixtures is completely nonsensical. Additionally, I'm clearing out my home in the autumn of my life, so all the suggestions of having children help us, again, unrelatable. I wish I had known this was going to focus more on the life of a minimalist mother still raising a family and not a widow actually trying to get rid of things without the input of exactly noone.
This book may be good for a different stage of life and circumstances, but not at all general enough for me.
Unrelatable to widow emoty-nester who abhors IKEA
