I have read this book 3 times since it was published in April 2025. It is phenomenal! Ash and Victoria are an incredible couple. I hope we get a second book. It would be nice to see how they handle the challenges that are sure to come up

A beautiful tale of a sapphic princess and a footballer

This was a great story. I love how likeable both the Mc's were. The chemistry was there, the drama was lightweight/ believable, and the supporting characters fit perfectly. More, the narrator was phenomenal!

I would have enjoyed more guessing/longing before they got together. As their relationship progressed slightly too quickly, in my opinion. Though if you chalk it up to them being mature and sure of what they want, it was perfect timing. Depends on the listener.

All in all, this is definitely one of my favorite WLW romances. It made me want to look into young LGBTQ+ youth struggles, shelters, and the like as well. So thank you for that call to action. You are a blessing. I appreciate you and your work!

I love these princess/queen British books, it is great romance stories, and Clare Lydon, does know how to write them unite it with a great British narration and you have pure pleasure.

I loved this book. I appreciated that the main characters had the ability to communicate like actual people. Not having to go though a cringe moment in order to get to the happily ever after was great! Even better, the story still held my attention as I listened to two women overcome struggles while falling in love.

p.s. I agree with the other commenter who said they would like to see a sequel to this book. Most love stories are focused on getting two idiots to admit they love each other and while I love that I also loved how this one seemed more focused on how the relationship functined. I think a sequel of them overcoming other problems while furthering their relationship would work.
