Enjoyed this book and the narrator was easy to listen to. Sometimes a short sweet story is what I enjoy now and then.

The story was good but Cara’s characters was a bit too much to my taste

Like the story

I was immediately drawn into the story and the characters were interesting. However, I got whiplash from the abrupt ups and downs of the characters emotions and behaviors! The characters needed more depth to feel like real people, and that prevented me from being fully emotionally involved. I wanted to give this book a four star rating but it became a little too repetitive throughout the book. Overall, it was a sweet story with a couple hot scenes. I’d be willing to listen to more by Marci Bolden, but only when the book are on sale.

I struggled with how hard i seem to forgive these people who were young when they were lied to and changed the trajectory of their lives. A good example of how to forgive and how complex life can be when it comes to how we approach forgiveness.
