I look forward to the next book in this series but I hope the curtail a few srx scenes for more plot story. The story is a good one but as much as I like a food hot steamy sex scene there can be too many.
I look forward to seeing what Nova and her men do in the next book and where Anna falls in the scheme of it.

Absolutely freaking loved this!!!! RH and found family and revenge AND a great plot!? This book was great! Definitely a top favorite of 2024! And audio was phenomenal

I bought the second book thinking it would be a little better, but it wasn’t if you like sex scenes every other paragraph you’ll love this book if you want a good story, don’t waste your time

I love listening to a book where the woman is bad a**. Nova and her men 🔥. I hate that they just instantly feel in love but I love all their personalities and believe they’re all made for one another.

This is a very good story with a lot of smut. I'm excited for the second book. Curious to know how the story will continue. I loved all the characters.

I really enjoyed the premise of this duet and thought the author did a great job with book 1 and setting the stage/giving us just enough background but not giving everything away just yet. I loved how the harem formed and the different personalities. I think this is one of my favorites by this author and happy she wrote this genre with some twists!

I loved how fierce Nova was but she had trauma that she never dealt with and the guys helped her through that. They had to figure out where she had been kept/tortured and for her to have to relive it was a tough couple scenes but really drove the point home for the reader. I was devastated for her with her her sister treated her in the beginning but was happy to see how they grew and evolved. OH and the ending was another gut punch but I understand why the author did it. Just know never to pick a favorite side characters because they might not make it at this point haha. I enjoyed seeing some glimpses of M/M or willingness to do things for Nova from the crazy one i.e. Jonas hahah (won’t spoil it I promise!). I LOVED the different kinks and scenes he was willing to do, he was a total like golden retriever but like unhinged psychopath at the same time haha. But mainly for protecting his found family. I was a little hesitant about the fearless leader (Louis) but he definitely grew on me. The doctor (Isaac) was so swoonworthy and then he would turn up the dirty talk and be more of a Dom and I was like daaaaaang please sir can I have some more?!? I think my favorites though were probably Dmitri and Nico. I loved how Nico would put Nova in her place but he fell so hard so fast. Dmitri is the brains and brawn and trying with all his might to keep everyone safe.

The banter between everyone was amazing. One of my favorite scenes was the pancake moment with the butler who was more of a dad to Nova and her dad was and Jonas. So adorable and made me laugh so hard. I didnt except there to be so much humor but it was sprinkled throughout and I really liked that aspect. I thought the plot again was intriguing. Horrible how her dad treated her and all these other kids. I knew he couldnt be gone but wasnt ready for what was in store for everyone. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time as they try to figure out where his accomplice was and the previous labs to try and rescue anyone still being mistreated. This is a high-octane story and is definitely not a slow burn haha. The author did a great job merging the two/having good self control to not overdo either (plot vs smut). Loved the steamy scenes, I sometimes skip through some if they become to often but that did not happen here. Be ready for some cold showers, don’t listen to this while at work like I did 🤣

Narration was fabulous. I have listened to both before and I thought Nova’s accent was done well and some of the guys were done well. A couple times the accents weren’t consistent but that is more of an editing thing that was missed by the producers, not a gripe on the author’s work. I felt for these characters, I laughed, almost cried, cooled myself off. I went through the whole gambit and the story was elevated because of the performances of these narrators. Easily giving 4.5-5 stars for the narration. I went right into listening to book 2 because I needed to know how things went after that devastating cliffhanger 😭 Highly recommend this book, adding it to my top 5 by this author, that’s for sure ❤️

I like spice but for how traumatic the story was the sex scenes were overdone It felt like two different books. The first 20% was strictly the story then 60% endless sex and last 10% story again It would have been better with the spice sprinkled in throughout not a huge section of the story.

... idk. I'm not sure where to start. I love a good dark steamy romance. I absolutely loved den of Vipers written by the same author, but this was like she was trying to top the shack and aw of den of vipers. The story was lacking because of it and the character lost her strength and fire for me because of the constant sex story lines. had the actual storyline had more growth and less sex this would've probably been much better for me. I really love dark romance but this one didn't hit the same. I found myself not wanting to listen it to for this reason and the female narrorator had a very distinctly fake British accent. the male narrorator was fantastic though. overall it could've been much better.
