Acerca de esta escucha

Every day I turned my camera on, sat in front of my tripod, and recorded myself doing my makeup, hair, or getting ready for an event. My supporters watched wishing they had the newest designer bag that I had just worn, or the mountains upon mountains of PR every brand sent to my front door. They wanted to be Harlym J., and I mean, I couldn’t blame them. I made this lifestyle look like a piece of cake with three cherries on top.

What they didn’t see was the breakdowns, tears, and weekly visits to shake my titties for a perverted correction officer just to see my man. They didn’t see the arguments and moments of loneliness while all my other friends were moving on with their lives. They were getting married, getting pregnant, advancing in their careers, and all I was getting was action from my rose.

I wanted to hate Ashton Willshire. I mean, he’s self-centered, rude, and cocky as ever. There was no way I was going to give up something familiar for uncharted territories. I don’t know if it was the gold teeth, the tattoos, or the way he tied his du-rag. All of it drove my senses haywire, and I hated it.

So, yeah … thanks.

I’m ngl… Harlym was the WORST! But I loved the story, it touched on issues most books don’t & I loved Ashton. The writing was SO GOOD

I loved this beautiful story, on how we should love ourselves and not let outside forces determine how we should look. I love how it touched on the silent battles people go thru. I absolutely loved how Ashton supported her even when she didn't know how to accept it!! you will not be disappointed i loved this book like I loved the first one!! I got a few laughs in it also!! Jaquel you have done it again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ oh and narration was great as well!!!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! ❤️❤️ Beautiful story

This was the most dysfunctional, toxic relationship I have ever read about!!!! I was frustrated 90% of the book. This was like a car wreck that you can’t look away from!!! The story was interesting enough to keep me entertained. I’m not a fan of how the narrators read. It was a bit choppy.

OMG!!!

Enjoyed the narration by Staci and Ace. The storyline, at some points worked my nerves. I was getting so frustrated with Harlym. I do understand the dilemma, and her disorder was nothing to play with. Once she revealed her truth, she saw the support she didn’t think she’d have. Her biggest support being Ashton, because her former boyfriend Cam was there only to tear her down. Unfortunately, he was her safe space (in her mind). I was so glad she finally got it. She definitely deserved better. That disorder, I don’t hear a lot in the black community, and I am sure it exists. Unfortunately, it starts at home or from those we think care about us - not realizing how damaging it could become.

Oh and as they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Ashton and Harlym stuck to it, as they dragged

Appreciated the love and patience of Ashton

Harlem has got to be the absolute dumbest female main character I’ve encountered in audiobooks; I hope there isn’t any women in the world that is this naive. The narrators did a great job with characters. I love Ace Bentley’s narration, he is humorous and got it going on!

This was really good but Harlym got on my last nerve. I wish I could’ve reach in and bopped her one time. Other than that it was good I recommend you to listen.

SO GOOD🤩🤩🤩

Just kept pissing me off, it’d be going good and then bam…here she go getting stepped on, talked down to and disrespected. She sees it and still stay with the man. You’d rather go through that than be with a man that treats you like a queen

Weak

Harlem got on my nerves, Ashton deserved better. i’m looking forward to the 3rd book tho.

I enjoyed this book but…

what upsets me is this author writes her main characters so weak and stupid. the previous book and this one just really upset my spirit. Just 2 dense chick's (sisters at that)

why does this author write such weak woman characters
