Acerca de esta escucha

A former Seattle policewoman, Ann Rule has extensive experience of violent crime and brings this knowledge to bear in this collection of fascinating case studies. You Belong to Me focuses on one of Florida's most shocking criminals - Tim Harris, the poster-perfect 'All-American' State Trooper who hid bizarre and fatal fantasies behind his badge of authority. Bearing the stamp of classic Ann Rule that makes her books so extraordinary, this and other cases from her personal files prove once again her undisputed status as the “Queen of True Crime”.

I only discovered Ann Rule from a listener I follow. I enjoy True Crime but don't like anything too gory. Ann Rule has the ability to temper that part of the crimes, while being very informative.

I don't watch scary movies. I'm so suggestible to things like that but somehow I love true crime stories. The inner workings of peoples minds fascinate me. I am selective though. Helter Skelter would never, ever be in my library. That's too over-the-top for me.

This was quite good, although I didn't like it as much as her books with only one story.
There is a lot missing about the profile of the killers she writes about in these files and I like a background on them. I am always interested in the psychology of people.

I thought Precious Victims was amazing but I will continue with these crime files. It's hard to believe that people can do such horrific things.

I feel Ann Rule was very good at what she did and I'm glad to discover her work.

The narrator was so annoying!! She over-enunciates and is very melodramatic. I just downloaded another one and didn't think to check who narrates it. Oh well, it won't kill me to listen to her again if need be. I just didn't care for her.
