An engaging, well-researched memoir of both a character, and a real woman who lived with severe mental illness. I appreciated the detailed history of Leia through the years, and even more so was drawn into the portrait of Fisher as a witty, talented, and deeply troubled human being.

Really great portrait of Carrie Fisher that doesn’t gloss over the messiness or exploit it for salaciousness, but reframes it in the context of a complicated human in a unique situation that mirrored the most famous princess in cinematic history. Jeff delivers another great book about pop culture and people who brought it to life.
