    Revered Australian singer-songwriter Pete Murray is currently on a mammoth 55-date tour of Australia in solo acoustic mode for the first time ever.

    Murray will be travelling to all the major capital cities across the country as well as plenty of regional towns.

    Pete Murray told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "Brisbane has always been great to me."

    "I always get great crowds there and always have from early days," he said.

    A bunch of Brisbane dads are hoping to make the France 2030 Olympics and compete in curling.

    Curling Curlews member Andrew Swain told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "We went to Boondall Ice World."

    "They had a come and try session down there and we decided, we'd have a go at it and we weren't terrible."

    "That's probably the best way to describe it."

    "Fast forward six months later, we made it to a Queensland final," Mr Swain said.

    The Coalition has temporarily put a hold on the split with Susan Ley and David Littleproud holding peace talks.

    The pair have agreed to delay announcing their respective frontbench line-ups in a bid to revive Coalition talks.

    Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "We were also elected on a platform of nuclear power being part of our energy mix."

    "We think that's important."

    "Now, if the Liberal Party change their mind on that, that's up to them."

    "We aren't going to change our mind," Mrs McKenzie said.

    The push for a Mental Health round in the NRL is ramping up with many people backing the call like the Broncos who will wear all black jerseys when they play the Titans on June 7 in support of the Black Dog institute.

    But what would the round look like?

    RLPA President Clint Newton told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "The biggest thing that I have to say is that it can't be just a one off and a tick box episode."

    "If we're wanting it to be done properly and the game is wanting to take the lead in this space, club cultures and the lack of and the safeguard reporting specific to Work Health and Safety matters needs to be improved," Mr Newton said.

  • Successful police taskforce to be strengthened contrary to disbandment reports

    There were several reports about the disbandment of Taskforce Guardian, with many questioning what is going to replace the incredibly successful unit.

    Since its inception in May 2023, the taskforce has conducted over 100 operations resulting in the charging of 2,093 juveniles with 6,167 offences and the diversion of 980 young individuals from the youth justice system.

    Queensland Police Service Acting Commissioner Shane Chelepy told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "They're going to be permanent, they're here to stay."
