Does our current political climate have you tied up in fear?

Are you overwhelmed with all the issues and unsure of where to start?

Do you feel stuck in constant panic?

Chances are, if you are human, you have/are experiencing a lot of feelings about the scary things happening right now in our country.

From my own life experiences and learning, I have found 4 simple steps that I share with you today, to help you move out of fear and into a grounded confidence.

    1. Accept reality

    2. Acknowledge the suck

    3. Search for sunshine

    4. Ask yourself, “What is mine to carry?”

In this episode, I unpack these 4 steps.

It’s not about having a plan for everything that could/might go wrong.

  • Don’t Believe Everything You Read #137

    An interview with Avriella!

This week’s episode features one of my favorite podcast guests, Avriella, who comes back to the show to share her valuable perspectives on what she is learning in life. I am again amazed and grateful for this young woman's insight and wisdom. I may be slightly partial, but just take a listen and see for yourself. I don’t think you will regret it!

    Today we discuss:

    • A traumatizing experience at the vet

    • Why Avriella doesn’t like the book I just read

    • How she chooses to think about all the parts of herself

    • What she does when she learns about new things

    • How our brains help us escape cults

    • Why we shouldn’t believe everything we read

  • Less Thinking - More Thoughts #136
    Apr 9 2025

After a pretty shitty week trying to problem solve and coming up with nothing but frustration, I finally turned to a book I recently got at the library.

“Don’t Believe Everything You Think” by Joseph Nguyen.

He explains why our thinking is the beginning and end of suffering.

Honestly, I am not even sure if it works, but in today’s episode, I share my new experiment of trusting divine intuition to send me answers.

Being in a state of panic and stress has never helped me find clarity. I believe there HAS to be a better way. Religion wrecked my life, but I believe that we are all intrinsically connected through nature and that the answers are inside us, waiting for us to be quiet and listen.

I highly recommend the book! Reading it brought me such peace, and where peace is, that is always where I want to be.

  • Dear Ash Grove #135
    Apr 2 2025

After 41 years and a lot of pain, there are a few things I have learned:

    • Not everyone is going to like me

    • Speaking up for the vulnerable will always piss off the bullies

    • It’s not worth being silent just to be accepted by others

    • I get to choose how to spend my time and what matters to me

    • Nature never apologizes

    • My life is too precious to waste on caring about what others think about me.
