    Colorado Springs Police Blotter: May 17-23, 2025

    On Saturday, May 17, at approximately 5:22 PM, Monument Police responded to a family disturbance at a residence on Front Street. The incident remains under investigation.

    Early this week, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office collaborated with County Code Enforcement and "Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful" to conduct a cleanup operation in the B Street area of unincorporated El Paso County.

    On April 13, Colorado Springs Police officers responded to a disturbance involving multiple individuals in the 4900 block of North Academy Boulevard at approximately 12:25 PM. This incident appears to have been reported twice in official communications.

    In recent arrest activity, Whitney L. Morrison was taken into custody on May 22 for failure to appear on a harassment charge.

    On May 20, Melissah L. Gonzales was arrested by Canon City Police Department on DUI and three additional charges. She was subsequently released on personal recognizance bond.

    Also on May 20, Delaney Jayson Sam was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and two additional offenses.

    Jessica Christine Fisher was apprehended on May 20 on a failure to comply warrant related to possession of Schedule 1/2 controlled substances.

    On May 19, Broc Michael Beesinger was arrested by Department of Corrections Parole officers for an alleged parole violation.

    The same day, Lorraine R. Shea was arrested for disorderly conduct involving the display of a real or simulated weapon. She was released on personal recognizance bond.

    The El Paso County Sheriff's Office continues to seek public assistance in locating 41-year-old Rueben Matthews, who has been missing since December 14, 2024.

    Authorities note that Marcus Theo Hill remains among the area's most wanted individuals, facing charges of criminal possession of financial devices (two or more devices) and four additional charges. Zachary Michael Hogan is also sought on charges of witness/victim intimidation and three other offenses.

    The Golden Police Department published their police blotter on May 23, covering incidents from the previous 24-hour period.

    Colorado Springs Crime Report Digest: May 12-18, 2025

    On May 16, officers from the Trinidad Police Department responded to a report of an assault. Bradley Salazar was contacted at the scene and arrested on multiple charges including two counts of third-degree assault, two counts of violation of a protection order, two counts of child abuse, and two counts of reckless endangerment.

    Also on May 16, Trinidad police officers on patrol observed Aaron Kinsey, who had two active warrants. He was contacted and arrested for violation of a protection order, a failure to comply warrant, and a failure to appear warrant.

    In another incident on the same day, Trinidad police contacted and arrested Melanie Valdez for two failure to appear warrants.

    On May 16, Hudson police officers responded to a trespass in progress at a Holly Street location. Officers contacted Leroy Moeller and, following investigation, cited and released him for trespassing.

    Later that day, Hudson officers observed a vehicle traveling 50 mph in a posted 75 mph zone and weaving between traffic lanes. Officers stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, Christian Guzman. A DUI investigation determined Guzman was too intoxicated to operate a vehicle safely and he was arrested.

    On May 18, Hudson police stopped a vehicle for expired registration. The driver, Luis Garcia-Moreno, was arrested as a fugitive of justice.

    On May 12 at approximately 5:05 AM, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 19000 block of Crows Nest.

    Recently, deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with El Paso County Code Enforcement and "Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful," conducted a cleanup operation in the B Street area of unincorporated El Paso County.

    On April 13 at approximately 12:25 p.m., officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance involving multiple individuals in the 4900 block of North Academy Boulevard.

    The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is seeking public assistance in locating 41-year-old Rueben Matthews, who was last seen on December 14, 2024.

    Trends indicate multiple warrant arrests this past week, along with several alcohol-related driving incidents.

  • Colorado Springs Crime Digest: Routine Calls, Accidents, and Open Investigations

    During the week of May 10 to May 16, 2025, Colorado Springs law enforcement responded to a range of criminal incidents across various neighborhoods. The following is a digest of activity based on publicly available records.

    In the Cimarron Hills area, officers responded to several incidents including a reported hazard at Peterson Rd and Constitution Ave on February 22, status under investigation, case number 3001. Another call in Cimarron Hills that evening related to an alarm, case number 3010, remains under investigation.

    Stratmoor Hills saw an incident reported on Ascot Rd involving a disturbance in the early morning of February 23, case number 2023-00031870, currently under investigation.

    A theft was reported on Black Forest Rd in the Black Forest area on February 22, status under investigation, case number 2103.

    Multiple welfare checks were conducted throughout the week, including on Western Dr in Cimarron Hills, and other addresses which are withheld for privacy. Most of these remain open pending further investigation.

    A traffic accident occurred at the 150 mile marker of I-25 northbound in Colorado Springs on February 22, case number 1901. The incident is under active review. Fontaine Blvd and Fountain Mesa Rd in the Security neighborhood was also the scene of a traffic accident on the same day (case number 5200), and the situation remains under investigation. Another traffic accident was reported on North Marksheffel Rd (case number 3010), also being reviewed.

    In terms of arrests, local law enforcement completed several warrants for unrelated charges, including third degree assault and violation of protection orders. All individuals arrested are being processed per procedure. No case numbers associated with these arrests were specified in the available reports.

    No active requests for public assistance regarding suspect information were reported this week.
