    Episode Notes

Dr. Joel Kahn stresses that even individuals with seemingly healthy lifestyles can have significant plaque buildup in their arteries, highlighting the importance of regular screenings.

Benefits of Coronary Artery Calcium Scans

The Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) scan is a valuable tool for detecting plaque in the arteries, providing crucial insights into cardiovascular health. This scan is recommended for individuals at risk of heart disease, such as those with a family history of high cholesterol. Early detection through the CAC scan can help in developing preventive strategies and maintaining heart health.
