When the events of 911 happened and we saw the planes fly into the buildings that day. We looked in horror as some chose to jump instead of face the flames... Wherever we were at that time became etched in our minds. I was at work that morning sitting at my desk. I looked at the screen of the small tv someone had brought out for us to watch. So we could be informed. And have no doubt about the seriousness of the matter and that we should have concern whether our boundaries (air space) had been breached. And most of all, if you knew how to pray that you should do so. There would be prayer led by each department every hour in the sanctuary until we could hear how it's going...

When his mother was pregnant, she was having such a tough time that she prayed and asked God about what was it? He told her it was the struggle of two nations. When the twins were born. The midwife saw one of the boys stick his hand out like he was coming out but drew it back. She called him sneaky for doing that. His name became Jacob. The other became Esau who promptly came out instead was named the firstborn. The firstborn in that day received a special blessing pronounced by the Father.

The Grace Covenant Podcast today presents a Wednesdays In The Word teaching by Pastor Earma: The story of The Blessing, Balaam And His Donkey Who Talked

Our story is a word of caution right here in the middle of the Blessing An Impartation teaching series. Balaam was considered a soothsayer and a prophet. Along with his paradoxes of titles he also had mixed responses to God. He was known for his power to bless and curse with his words.

Hence the King of Moab (The Moabites were descendants of Lot and his oldest daughter after surviving Sodom and Gomorrah) sought him out to curse a group of people he could see from the mountain top. The Scriptures tell us that he paid Balaam to curse them so he could get the upper hand and drive them out of the land.
