Court, in a bench trial rather than a jury of his peers with a retiring Judge, found Larry Jo Taylor guilty despite no physical evidence tying him or the other men to the murder. Watson and Gordon, close friends since early childhood, struck a plea deal with the prosecutor to testify against their new, much younger pal, Larry Jo Taylor. All three men were part of an Indianapolis gang known as Kilt.
