  • Anchored E5: Wretched Man that I am
    Jun 27 2025

In today’s Rock Solid Devotional, we explore the raw honesty of the Apostle Paul in Romans 7:24–8:4. Despite his faith and commitment, Paul declares, "Wretched man that I am!"—a confession that echoes the struggle every believer faces. The war between the flesh and the Spirit is real, ongoing, and familiar to anyone walking with God.

Yet Paul doesn't stop at despair. He points us to the incredible truth: There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Salvation doesn't come from self-effort or moral performance, but from a Spirit-filled life made possible through Christ’s sacrifice. The key is not to fight sin with fleshly effort, but to surrender daily to the power of the Holy Spirit.

Whether you feel defeated or discouraged by your sin, this devotional is a powerful reminder that God’s mercy is new every morning—and His Spirit is more than enough to help us walk in freedom.

    Reflection Questions:

    • How do you respond when you feel the weight of your own sin?
    • Are you trying to overcome your struggles in your own strength, or leaning on the Holy Spirit?
    • What would it look like today to live in the freedom Christ has already won for you?

  • Anchored E4: More than Conquerors
    Jun 25 2025

In this episode of Rock Solid Devotional, we take heart in the powerful words of Romans 8:31–39—a reminder that no hardship, no enemy, no circumstance can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Paul’s message is not just about surviving trials but about being more than conquerors through the one who loves us.

With wisdom drawn from Scripture and real-life hardship, we’re reminded that suffering does not mean God has abandoned us. Instead, trials are opportunities for our faith to be tested, refined, and revealed. Rather than just scraping through as weary survivors, we’re invited to rise up, empowered and renewed, to engage boldly in God’s Kingdom work.

What does it mean to be more than a conqueror? It means facing difficulty with a hope that doesn’t fade, a strength that grows through challenge, and a love that cannot be broken.

    Reflection Questions:

    • What trials are you facing today, and how might God be using them to strengthen your faith?
    • In what ways have you seen God’s love sustain you through hardship?
    • Are you simply enduring your struggles—or rising through them with renewed purpose?

  • Anchored E3: Live to the Lord
    Jun 23 2025

In this episode of Rock Solid Devotional, we turn to Romans 14:7–12 to examine what it means to truly live—and die—for the Lord. The Apostle Paul reminds us that our lives are not lived in isolation. Every decision, every action, every choice carries weight—not just before people, but before God. We will all give an account.

This devotional explores how Christian freedom interacts with love and responsibility. While we may technically have liberty in Christ, our choices should be shaped by how they influence others. Through the lens of working with teens struggling with addiction, we’re reminded that modeling a godly life matters. Especially in areas like substance use, our choices can either be a bridge or a stumbling block.

Living for the Lord means prioritizing His glory and the good of others—our children, our peers, our churches—above our personal freedoms or desires.

    Reflection Questions:

    • Do your daily choices reflect that you belong to the Lord?
    • Is your freedom in Christ helping or hindering someone else’s walk with God?
    • How might your personal habits or lifestyle influence those who look up to you?
