About this listen

Never promise a life that isn’t yours to give.

New York City is decked out for the holidays, and Special Agent Patrick Collins is looking forward to a reunion with his old team when he gets assigned a new case. A human child is missing, and the changeling left in her place causes a prominent witch family to demand justice from the fae.

Meanwhile, continued harassment from the New York City god pack forces Jonothon de Vere to formally establish his own with Patrick. Doing so will mean a civil war within the werecreature community - a war they risk losing from the start without alliances. Making bargains with the fae is never wise, but Patrick and Jono have nothing to lose when a fae lord comes asking for their help.

The Summer Lady has been kidnapped from the Seelie Court, and if they can find her, Patrick and Jono will cement an alliance with the fae. But the clues to her disappearance are found in Tír na nÓg, and the Otherworld has never been kind to mortals.

Venturing past the veil, Patrick and Jono risk losing territory, time, and their very lives while searching for answers. Because the Queen of Air and Darkness knows they are coming - and the ruler of the Unseelie Court has an offer for them they can’t possibly refuse.

A Crown of Iron & Silver is a 107k word m/m urban fantasy with a gay romantic subplot and a HFN ending. It is a direct sequel to All Souls Near & Nigh. Reading the prior books in the series would be helpful in enjoying this one.

I would have always chosen you

Oh wow, this definitely is action packed! First of all, can I swoon over how gorgeous the cover is? It's simply stunning with it's black and silver theme. Yum! This could probably my favorite book in the series (we still don't know yet since there will be more books in the series .. lol) and made me little UF obsessed heart so happy. You definitely couldn't ask for better plots, world building and romance from Hailey Turner.

Agent Patrick Collins sure is a very busy guy. While everyone was looking forward to the holidays, our hero found himself being saddled with not one, not two but three very difficult and sensitive cases. A missing child, a missing Fae princess and a missing artifact, seems like visiting Maui would be a pipe dream for Patrick for the foreseeable future. And they are not the only problems Patrick and Jono have. The other god pack of the New York city isn't happy with Jono's decision to have his own pack and they are struggling to keep things civil between them. Patrick and Jono also have to look after Wade, the abused teen dragon shifter whom they took under their wings. Plus, the Seelie court and Fae are involved and they are usually not good news. New players are added and old enemies are still there. Will Patrick and Jono prevail evil once again or will they fail?

I truly truly wish I could see this series turned into a TV series. Seriously, its' time we see a gay urban fantasy TV series. I love everything about this book. Don't get me wrong, I loved the first two books and they are set with different mythology themes but I loved the whimsical and unpredictable natures of Faerie in this series. You simply don't know how things will turn out and it kept me at the edge of my seat all the time. Since a lot of new players were added, it was kinda confusing some times but I didn't mind a bit. They were necessary to keep the plots alive and intriguing. The thing I love most about this book is how more and more Patrick and Jono are becoming one. Their soulbond is truly the awe inspiring and romantic. It might be forced up on them in the beginning but it's their choice to love, cherish and embrace the soulbond between them. I also loved that I get to see more of the sullen, prickly Wade in this book. He's like durian in my opinion, prickly and thorny on the outside but so sweet, fragrant and yummy on the inside. I wish he'll get a book of his own in the future. And oh ooh, this book is much hotter than the second book. Since I love my books spicy and panting, I really loved the romance and sex between our two soulbonded lovers. I can't wait for next book in the series since there are some smaller issues unresolved. I'm now one satiated and happy listen. Can't recommend enough.

PATRICK AND JONO! GREAT AGAIN!

After reading and listening to the first book in this series there was no way I was going to miss any additional books! So . . . I have purchased and listened to books 1 through 5 so far and have enjoyed all of them.

Some of the reviewers have not cared much for the narrator . . . I found that he is perfect for this series!

This entire series will be a re-listen for me.

I highly recommend!

Amazing and ready for more

If you enjoy urban fantasy paranormal books you don't want to miss this series. This is book 3 and the others in the series need to be enjoyed first before embarking on this journey. This is an amazing story as we continue on this journey with Patrick and Jono. What starts off as a kidnapping turns out to be so much more. I love the world building in this book and amazing characters. This book is full of action from beginning to end. And Wade, you gotta love Wade and his continuous appetite, not to mention he's a dragon. I highly recommend this book and series and I look forward to what comes next.
Narrator Gary Furlong does an absolutely fantastic job in bringing the characters to life. He drew me into this world, held my attention, didn't go until the very end, and left me wanting more.

Keeps getting better

I don’t know how she does it, but these books just keep getting better. There was so much that happened in this one. We go from New York to the Fae realm to Ireland. We have the mystery of a baby from a influential witch family is discovered to be missing, and a changeling is left in her place. Patrick and Jono try to save the innocent child who is being hunted by both Seelie and Unseelie court's Wild Hunts & figure out who she is. We also have a missing Fae princess and a missing artifact. There are what is perceived as betrayals and half truths that have a lot of hurt feelings and possibly not being able to trust those that have had trust and loyalties. So very much went on in this one and I don't want to give anything away so you will have to pick it up & read it. I love that Jono is one step closer to taking on Estelle and Youssef and finally bringing an end to their terror.

A Crown of Iron & Silver

This is the third book in this series and each book raises the stake this is one of my favourite series I love the different pantheon this Author truly knows how to bring them too life . This time around our favorite God pack has to deal with the various fae court's and of course this being case fae nothing is what it seems and there are deals to be made . Some with deadly consequences if not met shocking secrets are found out and a battle will be waged but it's also the pack's first Christmas together find out if everyone get what they wish for (Wade ) or is there more in store for our God pack .

This series just keeps getting better.

I love this complex world with its gods immortals, and preternatural creatures. Here, Hailey draws from the Celtic to complicate Patrick Collins life and we continue to see growth in our main characters as they battle new foes, and are confronted by perceived betrayals.
Buckle up for another great installment and, as Wade would put it, have plenty of snacks.

Great addition to this series. Intriguing characters & story. Gay characters that are an integral part of the story but not the story. Personally I don't think the 2 explicit sex scenes between the two main male characters added anything to the story. The narrator is terrific

Broome's Books Review

A Crown of Iron & Silver did not let me down. At all. First, let’s talk audio.

Gary Furlong does an amazing job in voicing Patrick, Jono, and the entire cast of unique characters. I could listen to him speak as Jono for forever. His voice was soothing, mischievous, and when the time called for it? Sexy as hell. With audiobooks of this length (ten hours) I tend to have issues staying interested. That was not the case with this audiobook. I was immersed in the Soulbound world.

Now onto the book review!
Patrick manages to get pulled into a case and into the complicated world of the fae (and brings everyone along with him on the ride). I enjoyed the Celtic, folklore that most of this story was rooted around.

We get to learn more about Patrick’s life in the Mage Corp and the men he spent his time fighting side-by-side with in the 30 Day War.

I’ve wanted to see pack interaction. And I got it! I needed to know how Jono and Patrick were going to lead their and work with their pack. Wade, oh Wade, he had me cracking up. I swear I’ve never wanted Poptarts more than after Wade munching on packet after packet.

Patrick and Jono make my heart melt into a gooey puddle of happiness. Their relationship is still growing and changing, but in all the best ways. Also, they just have a chemistry together that makes my breath catch.

5*

I have LOVED this series from the beginning. Hearing Jono, though hmmm. I like Patrick but I just Love Jono. Now with Wade added to the pack, listening to him mumble around a mouthful of food is simply delightful. Or "Not a kid" Love that Not kid.
