About this listen

A wife leaves her abusive husband but soon realizes nothing will keep him away - not even death.

Josie Collins is the wife of a world-famous rock star and the envy of nearly every woman in the country. But the horrific truth is her husband wants nothing more than to see her dead.

Josie finally summons the courage to leave her famous, abusive husband and returns to her hometown among the winter wheat of Kansas. When her husband is killed in a fiery car accident while on his way to find her, she thinks she has escaped him at last, but she's wrong. It quickly becomes clear that even in death he has no intention of letting her go.

As Josie develops a rapport with sexy police chief Paul Stark, trouble begins to brew. There's something special about the tall, mysterious officer with the long, jagged scar down his face. But Josie soon learns that he's haunted by a nightmarish past.

Sparks fly in their small, Midwestern town, and as their attraction grows, so does a dead husband's fury. To smother this dark, sinister spirit and perhaps find true and lasting happiness with each other, the living must learn to let go, give in, and leave their ghosts in the past.

Just ok

The writing is a little juvenile. It’s an ok story. I thought the narrator was good.

Read

It was good, I’m glad it wasn’t worth a credit because if not I may have been slightly disappointed since it’s so short. I would’ve loved it to have been a little more … had a little more umph but it was still good. I nice book to listen too.

My first

This was my first book from this author, and I chose it simply because I liked the cover. I didn’t even read the excerpt to see what the book was about. So as I went through the book, I kept thinking that Liam faked his death until towards the end, when I realized that it was his spirit which, obviously since I didn’t read the exert on the back, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t just the same old twist of the ex lover faking their death to get back at the person. I absolutely love this book great storyline, well written, perfectly narrated will definitely recommend to anyone. 👏🏻👌🏻👏🏻👌🏻👏🏻👌🏻👏🏻👌🏻

Such a good book.

Really enjoyed this story, not the best I have ever read but still very enjoyable. Beautifully read by Erica Sullivan who has the sweetest voice.

Spooky yet Sweet

I enjoyed this story. I thought the author did a pretty good job with character development for the length f story.
I would recommend it.
My favorite character was the Cat! Lol

good story line

I liked the plot, ot was a good story line but I noticed it kept switching to 3rd person. it was quite annoying, I was wondering who was telling the story at that point

Smoldering Romance with Poltergeists

Story was definitely fiction with an abused wife who has had enough and leaves him. Characters and situations are absolutely real enough - sadly. The fiction is her ability to avoid the hounding press that would seek her out as their chance at ratings and promotion fame.
Even in fiction, one would also hope that she would not surrender to her crush so easily in lobby of the courthouse.
It felt right that one Poltergeist would overcome the other Poltergeist for a happy ending.

Hard to get through!

This was not a bad book; however, the narrator was very hard to listen to. I had to back it up, a lot to figure out who had been talking. The storyline was good, but I felt instead of the constant back and forth with the H to be with her or not they could have delved deeper into the paranormal aspect of the book. overall I enjoyed it

Awesome

Great book. A little love, a little mystery and a little spiritual person trying to hang around and cause problems
