Publisher's summary

Book 2 of the A Grim Awakening series.

After “patching” things up with his dad, Ian Grim is finally able to return home to Darkwood and begin training to use his spirit powers. Of course, his relationship with his dad—or the lack thereof for the past thirteen years, and the fact that his dad wanted to kill him only a few days ago, made things a bit awkward between them.

Ian knew nothing would ever be normal again, but with dreams of skeletons and rats in the walls, missing children and webs of black hair, plus a few house guests, life was a bit strange. Most curious of all was the new quest in Soul Scavenger, the last video game his mom got him before she was taken by the Reaper. The quest was simple enough—find the three gatekeepers to the Lost Bone Catacombs. What was odd was how elements of his game resembled things in real life. Was the Lost Bone Catacombs an actual place? If so, who wanted Ian to open it?"

another instant winner

if you like the paranormal you will instantly love this book I had just wrote a review for book one which I listened too in a day and this one I listened too in a day as well the kind of books you just dont want too stop or even pause and that coming from someone who has a short attention span who doesn't read at all sure says alot I really think this could be a best selling series I've been listining too books for awhile now and it's not only the way it was written but the on point naration that did it for me how they can do so many diferent voices and charicators is beyond me.

I LOVED listening to this book!

This book is fantastic! Love the world that the author is creating with this series. I think I like book 2 even more than book 1. The narrator also did a great job with the different voices for the characters. I would recommend this book for a long drive. It will definitely keep you awake!

Absolutely fun!

I really am enjoying this adventure. I love the ability and the world building. I hope we get more into the Council and it’s stuff but also the Reaper. The only thing I say is a stretch is the video game. I had to really stretch my disbelief on that. Other than that the characters were fun and I’m awaiting for the next book. And it cannot come soon enough.

Ian is always the one left feeling stupid

This book number 2 has been highly anticipated for many years, and in no way did The Lost Bone Catacombs disappoint. Another fun adventure with Ian and the crew. It was great to settle in with Ian in this book where he wasn’t always on the run and wasn’t always putting everyone around him in a mood. To get deeper into relationship, and to better understand certain characters. I thought this book had just about everything, humor, mystery, action, tension, heart felt moments and a tiny budding romance. Trace definitely took it on the chin a lot in this book-not just Ian this time. The author does not leave you hanging with a lot of unanswered questions, I was shocked with how quickly many things were revealed in just the second book, but leaves you with a great ending where you’re like ‘oh no I need book 3 now!’

The narrator does such a great job. I really like the sound of his voice and after reading the book, it’s great to listen to how he brings it to life. I was impressed by all the different accents that he was able to pull off, there were many and that can’t be easy.

So glad book 2 is here!!!

I was so glad to find out that book 2 had come out so. I hate getting excited about a new series only to find out that the author hasn't finished the series, but here we are with book 2 and according to the author book 3 is well on the way!!!

This was a fun read with enough twists and turns to keep me interested and the story progresses making me wish book 3 was here already so I could just keep going. Without giving away any spoilers you will know what I mean when you get to the end of this book.

When's the next one!?

I love the supernatural theme and setting! The characters are lovable and memorable brought to life by the reader. I loved the creepy parts in the book it's creepy without being too scary. In this book I especially loved seeing the relationship between Daryus and Ian and how different it was from the first book. so excited to see where the author is taking this. There's so much mystery and questions still left to be answered! it's got everything I want from a book series, The darker theme without it being too much, action, mystery, and fun! So excited for the next one!!! 10/10
