Love in unexpected places

The story continues in this book with Cal running after Zelda from book 1. I loved both Cal and Zelda and wanted them to have their happily ever after but it takes some doing for them to get there. This book is packed with danger and extreme situations that they find themselves in and that they may not survive. There are twists and turns that keep you guessing as to how the ending will turn out. I love a story like that where I can't figure out how it is going to end. We still have Ava and Rowan to catch up with as well as all the other characters from book 1. Great adventure and love story.

Natalie Duke and Gary Furlong did a great job of narrating this book. They were believable as Zelda and Cal and I enjoyed listening to their voices.

I loved the book and recommend it.

Zelda & Cal Continued

As much as I loved this book, it was a lot darker than the first one. I had trouble listening to a couple of the scenes, which included torture that was a little too graphic for me, so be forewarned. However, I loved the characters and the suspense. Ms. Louise knows how to weave a tale with great characters and lots of romance and mystery. This reminded me of the classic movies I love, like To Catch a Thief and the Bond movies.

Both narrators were very good in their own right, but it would have been so much better if the woman read the female parts and the man read the male parts instead of alternating chapters, which makes the narration inconsistent. I think this is more expensive, though, so I can't really blame authors for opting not to do it.

Overall, I recommend this audiobook and feel it's definitely worth a credit. I hope the third book, Dirty Dealers, will be made into an audiobook. I really liked Logan and look forward to his story, so I'm waiting with bated breath.

Loved this book!

Cal and Zelda are amazing!!!!! This story and audiobook was phenomenal! This book has so much... chemistry..... angst..... mystery..... love.....

Zee is so wonderful.. She deeply cares for those in her life. She wants to do the right thing even when she has messed up. Cal is so swoony and real. He wanted Zee... he fought for Zee... he worked to keep Zee safe... he was one of my favorite heroes.

Natalie Duke and Gary Furlong did amazing in the narration. Gary was the perfect Cal!

Loved it so much!

Good Story

Overall a good story.

It was a little slow to pick up but finished strong.

Zelda and Cal blend perfectly together and I love the name chosen for their daughter!

Natalie still had some struggles in this story but was better overall.

I much preferred Gary’s voice over the previous narrator. Much more natural sounding in his accents. And he flowed from American to French to the French/English twist for the Princes

P + P = L O V E

I liked the different angle and was rewarded with a great story. The princes are loveable as well as the sisters. They are smarter than the average bear. Worth reading!

Wow! What this couple survives!!!

Audiobook: Narrator – Natalie Duke & Gary Furlong

Excellent narration! I never struggled with understanding any of the accents and both male and female voices were exceptional. These narrators really added to this story in a way that simply reading it would not. So much depth and emotion contained within! I need more!

This picks up right where book 1 ends for Zelda and Cal. While things took a darker turn towards the end of The Prince & The Player, this time around, things go very dark. Zelda is caught up in something that I never expected. But she’s a strong heroine and despite her fear, she stands her ground when needed to protect those around her.

Cal is caught up in a tsunami of emotions. He is furious at the secrets he’s learned regarding Zelda, but he also wants to throttle her for her past decisions and above it all, he wants to make sure she is safe. He’s a wonderful hero that I liked well enough in book 1 but fell hard for now that I had his own point of view and was able to get a look into his thoughts.

This is a wild ride from beginning to end. It’s got a fast pace that kept me listening when I would normally turn it off and the angst level gets pretty heavy. There is a lot of action and drama, as well as smexy times that had me making sure no one could hear what I was listening to. While this appears to end with a happy ever after for this couple, there is still a thread dangling that is threatening all of these characters.
