About this listen

Change is the only constant

Returning to the Verdant Green Waters sect over a decade after his exile, Wu Ying finds his position and place within the Sect in flux. Strong enough to be an Elder but not having achieved his rank via the normal methods, he has jealous and worried rivals to contend with. It is reminiscent of his own past, but now, he's an Elder and able to enact transformation in a broader sense.

Wu Ying must find his own place in the sect or leave it once and for all. The cultivation wounds he received in the south trouble him, and it will require time and resources - resources the Sect is able to provide - for him to stabilize his footing before he continues his climb to ascension. As with all things, immortality is never easy to grasp.

A Thousand Li: the Fourth Stage is the tenth book of the xianxia series, A Thousand Li. It begins the final arc of Wu Ying's journey to immortality, the trials and tribulations he faces and the leg of his journey. Tao Wong is the bestselling author of the System Apocalypse, Hidden Wishes and Adventures on Brad series.

Fantastic

This series is a fantastic cultivation series, very traditional in its make up and very palatable for the western layman

I really liked this book and like where the series has taken us so far. It nears it end but it continues to be great.

The long view of cultivation.

This series as a whole is very solid. It may not be the best you have ever read, but every book is B+. I also appreciate that the author ends the story by the end of the each book( I hate the cliffhanger.)

Good listen.

Not fast paced, but a decent tale. Good narration. The series has become better as it progressed.

A welcome change

I usually like books that are much faster pace. For some reason this one holds my interest. Love the main character. Love the world. Just overall really enjoying the series. The books are a little short for the price but that would be my only complaint.

filler

This book was filler. You can skip it and miss almost nothing. I like the series but this is a blatant money grab to stretch put the story. nothing happens in that's note worthy. Spoiler; he should have atleast been healed in this book and it would have somewhat made it worth the listen.

Yet another delightful journey with Wu Ying— his struggles of homecoming

I enjoyed this return of Wu Ying, his challenges of sect politics and the fun of his student selection. Excited to watch them grow, and see Wu Ying learn from teaching. Rooting for all our friends to find their paths around or over their obstacles, it felt good to rest a bit in preparation for whole new types of trouble our protagonist will get into as he presses further. I’m especially curious to learn more about the sect head through Wu Ying’s interactions with him and find out what that delicate history is… Can’t wait for the next one!
