Short but thoroughly enjoyable

These books are fun. Well as 'fun' as you can call them when they are about terrorists. Terrorism aside though, I really like these characters. Their personalities are quirky at times, but people you could believe exist and in the context that they exist. The suspense and tension keep me engaged throughout. I certainly hope there are many more to come.

R.C. Bray does an excellent job narrating!

Non stop action!

This was a long book. I wasn't sure I would listen to the whole book. I told myself when it got boring I would switch to another book. The problem was that it never got boring. I wanted to know what was going to happen next! The ending has a twist too!

Good second, would love more

The combo of FBI, terrorist "hunters" and mafia makes for a few laughs. But it's a fairly fast paced story with plenty of tension in the chase. Enjoyable listen with this narrator. Would love to hear more from this author in this series.

Happy Ending

This second book about FBI agent Nick Bracco picks up from the ending moment of the first book. It continues with the story of Bracco working with an elite group of anti-terrorist agents to find and neutralize Kurdish terrorists who are bent on revenge. As with the first story, the protagonists have an amazing amount of good luck surviving dangerous situations and grave injuries.

I liked the characters and wanted them to prevail, but the miraculous and quick recoveries are so unrealistic that I at times wanted something to go terribly wrong for the sake of realism; but, I reminded myself that a book based the premise of a government agency engaging Mafia connections to bring terrorists to justice is not intended to be realistic.

I did not enjoy this as much as the first book, most likely because it was essentially the true ending to the first book rather than a story on its own. Having said that, I was entertained from beginning to end.

The Bracco stories are light in comparison to, say, le Carré, but sometimes light is all I want.

Great Series!

Loving the relationships between Nick and Matt, between them and their significant others, and I adore Tommy. Lots of action, whodunit drama, and suspense. As always RC Bray excels at the narration. My only comment regarding the narration is the pronunciation of Gila, AZ, which was also jarringly wrong in the first book. Not Gill-uh, but Heel-uh. Same as the lizard! Definitely not a deal breaker for me though as I loved these first 2 books, and am looking forward to the next one!
