A #1 SPORTS ROMANCE AND TOP 25 BESTSELLER!

He’s got all the right moves. And makes…all the wrong plays.

Will Aster excels at two things: soccer and self-sabotage. Following a viral incident involving him and the club owner’s wife, his only option to continue playing is overseas on FC Kluvberg—a team known for not tolerating scandal. A last chance and a harsh wake-up call.

Sophia Beck has spent her life avoiding football. Growing up in the shadow of her family’s stratospheric success in the sport left scars. About to begin her final year of university, she’s eager to pursue a career in photography, not receive an internship assignment involving her brother’s team. The last thing she expects is to meet a guy—a player—who makes her want to watch a game.

He loves soccer.

She resents it.

Those contrary viewpoints collide when Will and Sophia discover something stronger than their conflicting emotions toward the sport—their feelings for each other.

But…one wrong play can cost the game.

And wrong plays are Will’s specialty.

Brother’s Soccer Teammate

Will is sent to Germany to play soccer. He got kicked off his team due to sleeping with owner’s wife. So with a bad rep and a whole new country and language to have to adapt to, Will still has to prove his worth.

Sophia is in her last year of university and is also an intern for the newspaper. She’s also the little sister and daughter to a huge name, Beck.

Sophia meets Will at a game. They’re both watching a soccer game and they both don’t know who each other are besides the fact they are both attracted to one another. Sophia is sent to be the new photographer for the soccer team while her co-worked heals an injury. She wants to avoid the team because she doesn’t like the sport due to her family. That is until she knows she’ll be around Will. She knows he’s a bad boy but that’s what makes her so intrigued. Will knows he can’t go after his captain’s little sister but he knows there’s something different about her that he’s willing to risk it.

I love that even though Will is at a low in his life, Sophia helps him raise above it. I also love that Will sees Sophia for who she is and not her family name.

Good listen

She is hates soccer.

Soccer is his life.

The way these two opposites find their perfect HEA ending was fantastic and filled with 😍 and 🔥. Very much recommend this story. My only real complaint is I felt the narrators were a bit of a let down in how they handled some accents. Felt like a missed opportunity. But overall a great story with engaging characters I fell in love with.

All the Wrong Plays

Sophia and Will. Sophia is the daughter of famous footballers. (Soccer for us Heathen Americans). She has always hated the sport due to everyone expecting her to be a pro at soccer like everyone else in her family. She went out of the mold and is caving her way to be someone other than her famous family. People have always used her to get access to her famous parents and brother. Will was forced off a team in Boston and he received a contract to play in Germany. He meets Sophia when he finds her sitting in his seat at the football stadium to watch a scrimmage before he starts playing with the team. There is an instant connection between them .
I really enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and a joy to read/listen too. The narrators were phenomenal in this audiobook. I really enjoyed the way they brought the story to life. The spice in this one was also good. I really enjoyed this book. I have been mainly reading hockey romances so this was a change of pace but I have no regrets.

Audio review
Narrated by; Kasha Kensington and Ryan Hudson
Both did a good job of keeping the storyline clear and moving.

Will Astor has been a bad boy. He was black listed from playing soccer on any of US teams. Now he is in Germany starting over. He is going to do things right this time. No distractions, no misbehaving everything on the up and up, that is until he runs into Sophia.

Sophia is the daughter and sister of soccer royalty. With both her father and brother being world class soccer players, she had always felt pushed aside. She couldn’t trust people to like her for just herself or if they wanted an in to her family. She avoids anything soccer related. Until Will.

There is a lot of push and pull with their relationship as the first try to be friends and ignore the hot chemistry between them. When they finally give in, the heat between them is explosive. Once they decide to date, it sticks. No real separations .

Sweet slow burn romance.

Will Astor was sent to Germany to play football after a scandal in Seattle got him kicked off his team. While checking out the team he's about to joins preseasons game he runs into Sophie, a University student. Even though the sparks are there nothing happens. Will is doing his best to behave after his scandal, doesn't want to ruin his second chance to play the game he has devoted his life to and Sophie is the little sister of the captain of the football team (and famous football parents) hates the game. But fate keeps bringing them together.

I loved this story. The characters are written well and in a way that is believable and not over the top. There is not much angst to the story so that way nice to.

The narrators, Kasha Kensington and Ryan Hudson did a good job. I did notice, and maybe it was just me, that Ryan sometimes sounded bored while he was reading Wills part. Other than that they did great.

I received an ALC to listen to and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

✨Thoughts✨
Sofia’s life had always been overshadowed by her family’s fame. Both her father and brother, Adler Beck, are football (soccer) legends. She dislikes the sport because of it. But when she met Will Aster, the new American striker on Adler’s team, everything changed. Will had a scandalous past and a bad reputation, but Sofia couldn’t resist the attraction between them, despite the complications.

♡︎ Their relationship was a rollercoaster, with both trying to resist the pull towards each other. There were some pretty amazing steamy scenes, but what kept me interested was how sweet their love story was. Will and Sofia supported each other through thick and thin, despite the obstacles in their way. I definitely loved that. I also loved getting glimpses of the main characters in the first book, “First Flight, Final Fall”. Adler and Saylor are still such a fun pair.

🎧The dual narration performed by Kasha Kensington & Ryan Hudson was generally good, however, there were instances where the accents slipped, causing a slight distraction. Despite this minor setback, it did not detract from the overall story.

✧All in all, if you’re a fan of sports romance, this audiobook is definitely worth a listen.

Will and Sophia

All the Wrong Plays is the second book in the Kluvberg series. I read a lot of sports romances, but not many about soccer players, so I was excited about this book. This story follows Will Aster and Sophia Beck's rollercoaster relationship. After being involved in a scandal, Will moves to Germany to play for FC Kluvberg and rebuild his soccer career. While there, he has to fix his reputation and prove that he is still a valuable player. Sophia is the sister of Adler Beck, a famous player on the team. Having grown up in a family with soccer legends, she has done everything possible to avoid the sport. As part of her photography internship, she is assigned to take photos for the team. Not knowing who he is, Sophia meets Will while at a game. Despite Will's past and her connection to the team, she can't stay away from him. I am a sucker for forbidden, secret romances, and I loved Will and Sophia together. They had amazing chemistry, and I enjoyed the push and pull of their relationship. I loved how they supported each other through all the obstacles they had to overcome. Will and Sophia's story perfectly combines swoony moments, a little drama, angst, and steam.

Narration:
Ryan Hudson and Kasha Kensington performed this story in dual narration. Ryan and Kasha were the perfect voices for Will and Sophia. Both did a wonderful job giving the characters personality and bringing them to life.
