About this listen

Kemuel Azar and Queenie Montgomery have had a strong bond since they first formed a friendship in high school. Working together on a class project, they grew closer, finding common ground in their mutual appreciation of construction and interior design.

With their bond cemented, they graduate college and work in their respective fields for King Construction, Kemuel's family business. As they anticipate the change in ownership from Kemuel's grandfather to Kemuel, a sense of excitement fills the air, but it is tempered by the condition attached. For Kemuel to become the owner of the company, it is a requirement that he marry Queenie. Faced with the prospect of losing the family business, Kemuel and Queenie agree to the arrangement. Will the marriage arrangement strengthen their bond or destroy it?

This was a good love story

I enjoyed the growing friendship turned relationship between Kem and Queen. I even loved the supporting characters throughout. Midnight Michael is becoming one of my favorite male narrators. I had to give the overall and performance a lower rating because I'm not feeling Sable. She has a nice voice but her narration needs more work. She doesn't give where it should be giving and that takes away from the character.

Kem and Queenie

This was a sweet story that stretched over twenty years. Best friends and reluctant spouses. I loved getting to know the entire family, especially their son, Jay. Well done. And the narration was good.

Lovely Path to Love

This was a nice romantic story with lots of laughter. Ms. Sable has a beautiful voice but she doesn't read well. Her cadence is odd and her inflections are out of place

Ms. West!!!!🤎🤎

There will be no spoiler alerts. The only bummer is that I read out of order, so I know what the ending is for the Bluette Brothers.🤎 Miss West is one of my favorite new authors. I love her style, grace and passion with a pen. Queen & Kem was the perfect love story. I love the way she molded all of the characters in the book. It is my hope that this series goes on and on and on! 🤎

Awakening Woke Me Up!

Bailey West is an EXCELLENT author! I read this story on my Kindle and then listened to it via Audio. Sable Lyn and Midnite Michael made this story even better! Their voices brought this story to life! I'm looking forward to reading more books from Bailey and prayerfully Sable Lyn and Midnight Michael will perform the story!

High Hopes

This is one of my favorite series starting with the Bluette Men and the stand alone Loving Man. With that said, I was excited that the books were available on Audible. This was a difficult listen for me. The male narrator (Michael Midnite) was great. The female narrator (Sable Lyn) was monotone, and did not really embody the character. It felt like she was merely reading the story similar to Alexa or Siri, with little to no emotion. With that said, I will definitely keep the books on my favorite’s list. I enjoyed Queenie and Kem’s friends to lovers story. Their character’s were introduced in Epiphany. I thought Gail broke off “an engagement.” I was a little surprised to the reference of a “divorce.” Loved catching up with Iz and Lee.

Good story

Overall this was a good book. I agree with other reviews regarding the female narrator. She has a good voice but reads flat the entire book. I would still recommend reading.
