The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Whilst phrases like listen to your heart or follow your heart are widely popular, it may come as a shock to know that they are not biblical, nor do they help you in your walk with Christ! Such sayings are pushed in worldly mediums like literature, songs, or prose in order to abate the power God has placed in you. The verse above shows that above all things, that's right, not some, not most, but above all things, the heart is deceitful.

As God’s child, you cannot allow your heart to dictate your life choices or reactions to crises. The heart is desperately wicked, and if you listen to it, you may unintentionally lend yourself to the enemy’s plan. Rather, be led by the Spirit of God in you as a guide to navigate through the vicissitudes of life. Learn to follow only the Lord and His Word and live a life not dominated by emotions or feelings of the heart!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I reject deceit and choose to be led solely by the Spirit of God within me. Every mountain that dares to stand in my way today is obliterated by the power of Jesus. I walk in divine guidance, crushing every obstacle and enemy plan. Victory is mine in the mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
