Nothing is as wonderful as knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have given up everything else and count it all as garbage. All I want is Christ.

I’ve told the story of how God had an appointment with Jesse Duplantis, the Apostle of Joy. It was late at night, around 3 a.m., when God entered Jesse’s room and called out to him, “Jesse, wake up!” Jesse opened his eyes, still half-asleep, and with his characteristic humour, he replied, “God, I’m sleeping. Why didn’t You come at 10?” God responded, “Because you were too busy watching a movie.”

Imagine that! God had planned to visit Jesse earlier in the evening, but the noise and distraction of television delayed his encounter. In this simple yet profound exchange, we’re reminded how easy it is to miss divine moments when our attention is consumed by worldly entertainment. It’s a call to all of us to make room for God and to prioritize His presence over the distractions that vie for our time and focus.

In this Year of the Chainbreaker, be sensitive to God and make room for His presence. Prayer will sensitize you to His promptings and timing. Just as we prioritize important things in life, our commitment to seeking God must take precedence.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I speak spiritual discipline over my life. I decree and declare I will not miss my appointment with God this year, in Jesus’ Name! Amen.

[The diligent] will be put in charge of others, but lazy people will have to work like slaves.

The Bible paints a vivid picture of the sneaky enemy called laziness. At first, it might feel good to hit that snooze button or put off your responsibilities, but before you know it, you're caught in a cycle of "a little sleep, a little slumber" that leads to poverty pouncing on you "like a robber."

Laziness leaves one enslaved to debt, frustration, and failure. Dreams and potential wither away, and suddenly, they find themselves trapped in a life they never intended. The message is clear: laziness is a pathway to bondage.

Poverty is allergic to hard work, and by “hard” work, I mean smart work. Hard work often leads to exhaustion without necessarily achieving the best results. On the other hand, smart work involves using the right tools and strategies to accomplish tasks more efficiently and effectively. Smart work emphasizes planning, prioritizing, and leveraging resources, allowing you to achieve more with less effort. Work smart and you will rule this year!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I refuse to die broke! I reject the spirit of laziness and choose to work smart. As I pray, my strategies are of God. By His wisdom, I plan, prioritize, and leverage resources efficiently. Debt is cancelled! Poverty flees from me, and I rise to rule in success and abundance in every endeavour! Amen.

Let your spirit be on fire, bubbling up and boiling over, as you serve the Lord.

Fire is a relentless force that tests everything it touches, revealing the true nature of materials. Metals are forged and strengthened through by fire, but when fire dances upon wood, it transforms into ash, a testament to its vulnerability. Fire not only consumes but also burns away impurities—everything that is false—leaving behind what is pure. You can’t fool fire.

A life without fire makes one susceptible to false teachings and spiritual deception. Among the most vulnerable are lukewarm Christians, those who have the appearance of being faithful but lack spiritual power. Fire gives warmth, but it’s never warm; it is either burning hot or non-existent.

God desires His people to be vessels of fire, not just fair-looking believers without substance. When you’re full of fire, no man can deceive you. Let your spirit be on fire daily. Increase your fire through prayer. Move beyond superficial Christianity to a life full of power and fire, and every deception will be burned to ashes!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I decree and declare that in this Year of the Chainbreaker, I will not be a furnace without fire. As I set my life on fire daily through prayer, everything lie is being purged. My life will burn with the power of God, evident to everyone around me, in the mighty Name of Jesus!
