The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Whilst phrases like listen to your heart or follow your heart are widely popular, it may come as a shock to know that they are not biblical, nor do they help you in your walk with Christ! Such sayings are pushed in worldly mediums like literature, songs, or prose in order to abate the power God has placed in you. The verse above shows that above all things, that's right, not some, not most, but above all things, the heart is deceitful.

As God’s child, you cannot allow your heart to dictate your life choices or reactions to crises. The heart is desperately wicked, and if you listen to it, you may unintentionally lend yourself to the enemy’s plan. Rather, be led by the Spirit of God in you as a guide to navigate through the vicissitudes of life. Learn to follow only the Lord and His Word and live a life not dominated by emotions or feelings of the heart!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I reject deceit and choose to be led solely by the Spirit of God within me. Every mountain that dares to stand in my way today is obliterated by the power of Jesus. I walk in divine guidance, crushing every obstacle and enemy plan. Victory is mine in the mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Whilst this verse is extremely popular amongst Christians worldwide, many fail to action it! The scripture, although seemingly simple, holds such a powerful and profound message; have you really made the decision to submit all you are for His glory? Living your life for the glory of God is more than tuning into church programmes, or even attending church services every Sunday, it is choosing to submit every area of your life to the governance of Christ!

Several instances in the Bible show that whatever you do not submit to God, the devil will attempt to utilise to destroy your destiny! Practice involving God in your interests, marriage, business, absolutely anything that pertains to you. By doing so, you gain the ability to break all manner of chains and give the enemy no grounds to manipulate or attack you.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Today I choose to submit my whole life to God. Everything I do henceforth, will be solely for His glory. By making my plans known to God, my success is sure.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

As a child of God, you are a branch connected to a perfect Vine! In the study of botany (the research of plants and their environment), the vine provides water and nutrients to its branches, ensuring their success. In the same way, as branches of the eternal Vine, Jesus Christ, He provides His children living water and healing in our bodies! You cannot allow sickness or pestilence to plague your body when you know whose Vine you belong to. The Bible shows that you have the life of Christ in you; therefore, do not fear what the enemy may try to do to you.

In the Bible, Apostle Paul echoes the scripture for today: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." He recognised that, as a branch, he had the ability to do absolutely anything because of the strength bestowed upon him by God. Realise your limitless opportunities and power today by recognising who you are connected to.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I am a branch on God's eternal Vine; my source of strength comes from Him. I shall not fret today about any challenge that may come my way. I am well connected to the ultimate Vine, Jesus Christ!

He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. If you stumble, they'll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling.

What if I told you that the life God intended for you to live is a life in which no attack of the enemy can catch you by surprise? As a Christian, you can never be blindsided by the attacks of the devil. God has given His angels charge over you, meaning they are working overtime to ensure your perpetual protection from harm!

As a child of the living God, you can never allow things like fear or worry to sour your days because God has placed safety precautions in everything pertaining to your life. When you live life in fear, you undermine the God-given protection you have in Christ and allow the devil to take advantage of you. We’re in a prophesied year. Chains have no choice but to fall at your command. Walk in this continuous reality that you serve a God who is more alert than the highest-grade security system!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I can never be blindsided, and fear and worry will never plague my life. God has angels working overtime for me 24/7. I serve a God who is always on alert! Amen.

Luke 22:53-54 (KJV)

When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness. Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.

The verse above follows the betrayal of Jesus Christ and His subsequent arrest. In this moment, a spiritual reality is revealed! The Lord Jesus says, "This is your hour, and the power of darkness." Isn't it profound that the Lord Jesus could acknowledge a point where the enemy thought they had won? Little did they know, they had played their roles perfectly into God's divine plan. In just three days, the resurrected, glorified son of God was on display for all to see, including those who devised plans against Him!

Sometimes in your life, you may find yourself in situations where it seems the enemy has won. Yet that hour and the power of darkness are part of a bigger plan for your promotion! Trust God and witness His shift your life entirely for the better! Have confidence in the God who stared death in its face and overcame it. You shall see chains break like never before this year!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Like embers rising from a stoked flame, I’m reaching new heights this year. Whatever plan of the enemy meant to frustrate my destiny has been silenced today! Amen.

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

You are not God’s mistake! Many people live their day-to-day lives equating their value to the circumstances in which they came into the world or the environment to which they were subjected. Yet God's Word shows us that even before you were formed, an inherent value was placed on your life. In the verse above, we see God talking to Jeremiah, revealing to him that even before he was formed in the womb, God had appointed him as a prophet to the nations! In the same way, God expresses through His Word that He has placed value on your life even before you came into being physically.

As a child of God, it is up to you to recognise and walk in the worth God has already placed on your life! You’re a chain-breaking, unstoppable powerhouse! Be emboldened by the gift of God in you, and you shall see God's blessings like never before this year!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I AM NOT A MISTAKE! God has designed me with inherent value as a unique gift. I am fearless. God lives in me, and I shall use this to my advantage today, in Jesus' Name!

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Bible tells us that all circumstances you face in your life, whether things in Heaven, in or under this Earth, ought to bow at the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. However, many Christians can cite several instances where they have used the name of Jesus, and their situations have not changed or have even worsened! The reason for this is simple. In its original rendering, 'name' translates to anoma, meaning character or personality. Many call on the name of God yet their own lives do not reflect godliness in any sense.

The Name of the Lord Jesus Christ is not a password you use to just break chains but something that requires your life to be a mirror of the power you are attempting to access. As a child of God, ensure you are aligning yourself with the character of Christ and you will see the enemy on bended knees in your life!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

My life is a reflection of the living God in me. Today, I call upon the name of the Lord in His character, and all chains that need to break shall break today! Amen.
