Publisher's summary

Carol was an avid mountain climber until an accident left her in a wheelchair. Love is the last thing on her mind, until she hires Nick to play Santa. Shocked at the sensations he elicits, she resists him and decides to date a good guy - a disabled firefighter.

Nick is drawn to Carol like a magnet to iron, and he sets out to prove that bad boys who hire themselves out can be good boys, too - especially in bed.

Carol discovers she’s not dead to passion, but when Nick’s dirty laundry is aired, she regrets choosing the naughty over the nice. Will the spirit of Christmas teach her that sometimes a huge lump of coal can turn into the brightest diamond of love?

this book struck a personal chord

when I received this book I thought it'll be a easy going book but it was much much more and for me someone with the paraplegic disorder from the day I was born this book was personal although I can feel my body I can't walk and I can understand any feeling the main character had in this book every doubt every self-pity feeling I wasn't crying in this book but it was a very emotional book for me
the author made an incredible research on the subject every word was correct the narrator was great as well loved this book very much

St. Nick and Christmas Carol

Here is a Christmas story with a lot of steam.

Following a climbing accident, Carol is now in a wheelchair, having lost all feeling below the waist. Bad boy, Nick, has been hired to play Santa Claus at a children's Christmas party. There are immediate sparks between Carol and Nick, but are they sparks of attraction?

Christmas Joy!

What a perfect story for a Christmas listen! Once again Rachelle Ayala has taken a sensitive subject and given it a voice. The third of the series, Nick is hired out to play Santa, not knowing he is going to meet the love of his life...and that she is paralyzed from the waste down. Ayala has created a story around the daily challenges that a paraplegic lives through and how this particular man sees the woman and not the wheelchair. The incredible amount of research that has gone into this sheds light on the day in and day out routine of someone who cannot walk. She shows us through Carol the frustrations that come with being disabled, as well as the joy and optimism. Carol's journey of self realization that life continues on after tragedy is one we all take in some form. And don't think there aren't and bumps in the road...Nick has a few obstacles to overcome himself to find his path clear to be with Carol. From his job at Bad Boys to Hire, there are repercussions that follow him and need to be dealt with. Together their will find their way. The encouragement this story brings through Nick and Carol will warm your heart and get you into the Christmas spirit.

Chris Abell is an amazing narrator, his voice is so even and mellow. He has such a wonderful cadence, has just the right level of emotion and brings the characters in his performances to life. I always look forward to hearing him.

A sexy romance featuring a disabled woman.

I'll be honest up front and say this audio book just wasn't for me. I loved the fact that Ayala is putting a woman in a wheelchair in the book and making it real (you even get the bathroom ritual). Her sexuality is addressed and I was fine with that. Somehow the whole book took a lean toward the sleazy side for me. I'm not sure if it was the narration, the fact that Nick had been selling himself for sex, or the combination.
Carol was a great character--very driven to not let her recent disability stop her in her goals or in enabling other disabled people to achieve theirs. Nick was working hard to redeem himself so that he would be good enough for Carol.
Sadly, this audio book just was not for me.

Very nice story.

This is a well written and performed unique Christmas story. The characters are very realistic. The author writes them in such a way you can feel their emotional state. The storyline flows nicely and it keeps you engaged. It keeps you listening/reading so you can find out how they are going to come together and overcome life's challenges. This is an inspirational and heartwarming Christmas story. While I was given a code to listen to this book, I purchased my own ebook copy, and can honestly say that I have invested my time and money into this book and highly recommend you do as well.

Great Book!

This was an excellent book! Very well written, an entertaining story that holds your attention until the end. I listened to this book in 2 days, I really enjoyed it and was eager to find out how the story ended. You can listen to this book as a standalone. I hadn't listened to either of the 2 previous books but I was still able to follow Nick and Carols story. I think the story was very relatable and not over exaggerated as some books can be. The events that happened in the book can and do happen in real life. It's a really cute, heart warming story of change and acceptance for both Nick and Carol. Carol needed to fully come to terms with her new disability, to realize she could still fine love and be loved while Nick needed to come to terms with the realization that he wanted to grow up, become a better person and be in a long term relationship with Carol. I would highly recommend this book to others. I always find that I go into to much detail when I try to summarize books so my advice is to read the book summary at the top but know this; it is a good book that's worth both the time and a credit.

I received this book free at my request for my honest and unbiased review.

LIfe-Changing, Spectacular, and Breathtaking

Bad Boys for Hire: Nick is a fantastic story that will melt your heart and get you in the spirit of Christmas in no time. It is not an easy story, but it is worth every tear and challenging moment. This is a story that will capture and captivate your heart with its every tender and harsh word spoken. Once you have fallen under its spell, not even a team of reindeer could drag or fly you away. This story hurts, uplights, and encourages every step of the way, but in order to heal and change, we have to face the parts of ourselves that we don't like and make the hard yet right decision to starting walking after we get knocked down. Life is hard and ugly, but it can also be beautiful and effortless. We just have to climb our mountains and overcome the challenges in our way with the right heart and our mind looking towards good things.

Chris Abell did a wonderful job with his performance. He brought a tenderness and a vulnerability that this story needs to show people just how beautiful and precious it is. I enjoyed his performance in the Intercepted by Love series that was written by this same author, and he continues to show his versatility and talent adding this incredibly moving story to his list of accomplishments.

Great, Interesting Story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I have not listened to any other books by this author. I was pleasantly surprised this was a good story. It moved quickly, except I kept waiting for Carol to find physical satisfaction. I learned a lot about paraplegic people and the challenges they face. The author did a great job with the characters and the story. Very cute Christmas story. The narrator did a great job and didn't try too hard with the female voices, which was a good thing. Some times men fail when trying to do female voices.

Bad Boy to Good Santa

This book is about Carol, the sister of Ken from Book 2 of Bad Boys For Hire. Carol had a climbing accident and is now confined to a wheelchair with very little feeling below her waist. Carol meets Nick when he's interviewing for a job to play Santa. Nick has a reputation for bedding his personal training clients and this comes back to haunt him. He doesn't make a good impression on Carol and she takes everything as a slight to her being in a wheelchair. Nick becomes attracted to Carol but she takes it as pity. But he's really trying to learn about people with disabilities so he can understand what Carol goes through.Carol didn't think she'd be able to fall in love with Nick but things happen and she does. Rachelle Ayala has done a magnificent job with researching this kind of disability and what people with disabilities are still able to do. I highly recommend this book - you will laugh and cry. Chris Abel does a wonderful narration of the characters in this book as usual. I asked for a copy of this book and am leaving my honest opinion
