Publisher's summary

Armon Ellington is 19 year old kid that always felt out of place. He's an orphan, a gamer, and a role playing game geek. When he dies after a 72 hour gaming marathon, instead of going to an afterlife he's transported to a new world governed by rules that are eerily similar to the RPG games he loves. On this new world, Terra, he can be anything he wants, a warrior, mage, or even a crafter. Only, Armon wants more than that, he also wants friends and family.

Join Armon on his journey through this amazing new world where he'll go on adventures, explore dungeons, slay monsters and hopefully find the friends and family he never had on Earth.

excellent!

This could easily be classified as a young adult book, but I am over 50 years old and very much enjoyed it! Unique plot, action packed, and with universal themes most can relate to. I highly recommend!

amazing book! one of the best immersion narrations

By far one of the best immersion narrations I have ever heard. the book ended with me wanting more and I can't wait for book two. I hope it's narrated by the same person.

Better than when I read, Series of Harry Potter

The book was exquisite! It had himor, you could relate, friendship, love, bonds, sarcasm, and a wonderful story line, plus gaming features. It threw me off in the beginning, but it was used and reflected well in the story line of the story of how their world became! I would recommend this book to any and everyone! 5 stars and thumbs up, plus, "Waiting for Book 2" ^_^

meh.

while there are interesting points in the book. There are too many things that takes me out of my immersion; he is a gamer that plays rpg's, but fail to grasp common knowledge among rpg's. he acts like a pro, but keeps being a noob.
Jill Smith does a good job of bring some semblance of life to the characters, but falls short at times when it comes to reacting to certain situasions

Need to escape from reality for a while

Join us in Terra a great escape from reality as you follow along as Armon discovers a new life.

Very well read and just enough "acting" to fill in the edges making it one of the most enjoyable audible books in my collection.

I love this book.

The first book in particular I listen to over and over. Which I know sounds crazy but it’s funny and I love the narrator.

Combat is lacking

The overall story is Okay, but the combat part is very lacking when it comes to who is doing what and at what moment. MC hit the mob in the throat pulls it out then waits for the mob to heal, speak, then make a successful hit. Even with all the training he has, the mc just stands there and accepts the attack. Poorly written IMO.
