Publisher's summary

Natalie Scott's life is simple, with no strings attached. As a band photographer, she's made metal music her life, and life on tour means no relationships. At least not ones that last, and that's the way she likes it. She only has one rule. Don't date or otherwise screw around with the client. But she never said anything about love.

Brent Andrews knows Natalie's rules. He's about to make sure he's an exception to them. All of them. Even ones she doesn't know she has.

Fans of Kasie West, Cookie O'Gorman, and Monica Murphy will fall in love with this coming-of-age romance series that tackles love, friendship, and moving on from painful pasts. Each novel stands alone with characters you're sure to love.

Rocking Romance

This is a good story, I mean who doesn’t love a rockstar romance.
It is interesting perspective from a photographers view. I love the added angst with the previous boyfriend. The narrator for me was a little monotone and slow.

Sweet little rocker romance ♥️

This author and narrator are both new to me and I was excited to give this book a go. Natalie is a professional band photographer and living on the road means no relationships, but when she’s hired to work for Makeshift Chemistry her rules on relationships are tested. She is instantly attracted to singer Brent Andrews. He is swoony, sweet and definitely has a thing for Nat. If you are looking for a clean, sweet, rocker romance with low angst and an HEA, then give Behind The Lens a go. The narrator, Kaye Anderson’s voice was youthful and clear and was perfect for Nat.

Love this band

A well written love story. Could have has a better narrator, but she got better as the story went on.

Loved it

This is my first listen from this author and my first book of hers as well. I thoroughly enjoyed having the chance to not only listen to this amazing book but to review as well. I will be looking into more of this series after this one for sure. The same for more of this authors work as well.

Good rockstar story

3.5 Stars. Story
4 Stars Narration
My first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I definitely like a good rockstar story.
Natalie lands a new job for the band Makeshift Chemistry. She immediately has a connection with Brent Andrews but she has already been there done that! She’s learned her lesson and now her one rule is not to get involved with anyone in a gig. She’s already been burned before and she’s not going down that road again. But Brent is determined. He can’t deny the strong attraction between them. Can he convince her that he’s nothing like her ex rockstar boyfriend.
I loved how close all the band members were and how they had Nat’s back when she needed them. My only complaint was that I felt it kind of just ended quickly after all the drama. I wish there would’ve been an epilogue. I still rather enjoyed it and I would definitely check out more in this series. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a good job.

My new favorite!

This story moved slower than I expected, but I’m so glad that it did, it truly helped the story feel more real.
The narrators did a beautiful job bringing th story to life.

Excellent Story & Narration🎧 Brent💘Natalie!

Cassandra Giovanni pens another great “Boys of Fallout” novel. This book features an entirely different band than the first book “Out of Beat”, though there is a mention or brief appearance of them in this book, Skylar manages several bands, including “Makeshift Chemistry”. Skylar suggests the band hire a photographer to go on tour with them and recommends Natalie Scott, while they can not afford her Fallout will pick up half the cost if she takes photos of other bands on the tour. One problem is her ex-boyfriend, Jace Smith, will be in one of those bands, he did her wrong in so many ways and she never wanted to see him again. But she could not pass up this opportunity. She loves going on tour and shooting rockstars in action. She flies out to meet the band in California, Brent one of the lead singers, the screamer, picks her up from the airport. She had talked to James the other lead singer on the phone and would meet the others on the bus, Kie, Brad and Aiden. I loved the camaraderie amongst the band members, also loved how they made Natalie feel like she was one of them and how they had her back when they found out what her ex had done. Brent and Natalie hit it off right from the start, she vowed to never date clients again and had a wall built around her heart, but Brent managed to break that wall down. They were perfect together and for each other. Their story is a great story, I loved every minute of it, Natalie and her journals was an amazing storyline, it added a lot of depth to her and the book. Cassandra Giovanni, that you for this excellent story, the heartfelt moments and sweet rocker romance, it was great to go on tour with Makeshift Chemistry!

I listened to the Audible edition, Kaye Anderson is an amazing narrator and voice artist. She continues to bring these stories to life, humanizing the characters by giving them their voices and personalities. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work, the characters emotions reflect in her performance, allowing you to feel what they are feeling. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Cute rocker story

It was an amazing book. I had a rough start with the narrator, her voice was kinda rough in the beginning. The narration got better the more you got into the book. All in all a wonderful book.

Behind the Lens, must read or listen

Cassandra, has a way to pull you into the story as if you are living it right along in it. The struggles that Natalie has in her love life and how she is able to connect with Brent has you ready for the next page to flip. Kaye Anderson does a great job of narrating the story and bring it to life.
