Publisher's summary
Terrible weapons and projects are being released by both sides, the autonomous war machines have regrouped and returned, and everyone is caught in the middle of the largest conflict since the First Precursor War. The burden of Citizenship falls on Confederate citizens as the recall notice goes out and what some thought of as myths and legends are returning to remind everyone of their existence.
From POW's to mail clerks to vampire*.exe to the Gestalts, everyone and everything is being dragged into the war.

The Unified Civilized Council has struck at the Terran Confederacy of Aligned Systems and struck hard with biological, genecracker, and nanite warfare, causing tens of billions of deaths and wiping out the populations of entire systems. The Unified Council is using the Confederacy's refusal to turn systems liberated from the Precursor Autonomous War Machines as the cassus belli for their attacks and have struck without a declaration of war, going straight for their non-conventional tactics. Story
The Unified Civilized Council, which has ruled for over a hundred million years has discovered new species in the Long Dark. Strange and unknown species that seem to have no rhyme or reason about them. Compounding the problem is the reappearance of the ancient Precursor Autonomous War Machines. Even worse is the fact that the newly discovered Terran Confederacy of Aligned Systems appear to be the only force capable of stopping the murderous robotic starships, some the size of small continents. The first book in the Behold Humanity! series, this covers the initial meetings as well as the ...

Story
The Unified Civilized Council has been assaulted by hundreds of Harvester Class Precursor Autonomous War Machines, each the size of Australia, and each bent on eliminating life in order to secure and harvest the resources of the galaxy for themselves. The only force able to stand up to the PAWM is the recently discovered Terran Confederacy of Aligned Systems. The Mad Lemurs of Terra and their allies are more than willing to stand against the PAWM forces, even as the Unified Council flees from every battle. This is presenting its own problem as the Confederacy holds fast to a belief that the...

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

it's a shame agro squirrel wasn't allowed to finish this masterpiece
the ai narration sounded flat and pronounced almost every part incompetently certain words would be correct and in less than a paragraph it would just hang on simple words or the same word
