The Unified Civilized Council, which has ruled for over a hundred million years has discovered new species in the Long Dark. Strange and unknown species that seem to have no rhyme or reason about them. Compounding the problem is the reappearance of the ancient Precursor Autonomous War Machines. Even worse is the fact that the newly discovered Terran Confederacy of Aligned Systems appear to be the only force capable of stopping the murderous robotic starships, some the size of small continents. The Unified Civilized Council has struck at the Terran Confederacy of Aligned Systems and struck hard with biological, genecracker, and nanite warfare, causing tens of billions of deaths and wiping out the populations of entire systems. The Unified Council is using the Confederacy's refusal to turn systems liberated from the Precursor Autonomous War Machines as the cassus belli for their attacks and have struck without a declaration of war, going straight for their non-conventional tactics. Terrible weapons and projects are being released by both sides, the autonomous war machines have regrouped and returned, and everyone is caught in the middle of the largest conflict since the First Precursor War. Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Awesome Story
Amazing story! Horrific AI narration, if I hadn't already read this story I would be completely lost on what was trying to be said.

Book 2
It says I need 15 words to submit a review. One sentence is not enough.

Good story, crappy narration
Interesting story line and I enjoyed it greatly, but the AI narration sucks. Lack of proper pronunciation and changing voice makes it hard to listen to this story.

Love Ralts First Contact. 1,000 chapters
Love Ralts First Contact. 1,000 chapters but the Beta AI needs pronouncation dictionary for any unknown name and some of the English trouble words.

I LOVE THIS SERIES, but...
I Absolutely adore this series, and am planning on buying the hardbacks one by one. However the AI version of the narration is the crux of the problem, if you could somehow make a deal with "Agro Squirrel Narrates" who before you sold the books on Amazon had nearly completed the entire series and has the audio recordings to supplement the Narration I would pay an upwards of $60 for just one Audiobook at a time if that's what it takes to still make a decent living.
I absolutely Love this series, but the AI makes it incredibly difficult to to not only follow but, to get behind especially on a character to character level.

interesting story
I could not get over the uneven AI reading. Between the complete monotone and oddly mispronounced words, I hard a hard time discerning who was talking during conversations

The story overall is enjoyable to listen too.
the AI narrator lacks emotion and consistency in pronunciation, If the Writer hired a proper narrator I would buy a second copy.

CAN YOU NUMBER THESE PLEASE!!!!
Seriously Ralts, I get wanting to get paid for what you produced. I can only imagine what kind of dedication and effort it took to write something thats 1000 chapters long. That said, can you please put the minimum amount of effort into that process please. Jesus man these aren't even numbered. Actually that's a huge issue. It's going to be a tough sell when the free period runs out with this stupid AI voice, I won't buy these if I have to spend more than 30 seconds to find the next book.
