Publisher's summary

The 12th audiobook in Winston Graham's classic Poldark saga, now a major TV series from Masterpiece PBS.

Cornwall, 1818

We continue the tale of Ross and Demelza; of the wayward Valentine Warleggan, whose existence keeps open the old wounds of the feud between Ross and George; of Bella, the Poldarks' youngest daughter, whose precocious talent as a singer is encouraged by her old flame, Christopher Havergal, and by a distinguished French conductor who has more in mind than Bella's music; of Clowance, the Poldarks' widowed daughter, who considers remarriage to one of two rival suitors; and of a murderer who stalks the villages of West Cornwall.

In his Poldark series, Winston Graham explores the complications of love lost and the class struggle of early 19th-century England with a light, comic touch. Bella Poldark is the final Poldark audiobook.

Best Book Series!

The Poldark series by Winston Graham is the best stories I've ever read. The characters are charming and well developed. The performance on Audible was outstanding. I just finished book 12 and loved every moment. I'm very sad there are no more, but am delighted with the experience.

Possibly My Favorite

I’m far from ready to say goodbye to the Poldark’s Cornwall. The second generation is as dear to me as the first. There were moments when I laughed out loud, and moments that I was close to tears. Graham artfully includes reminisces from the first 6 novels into this book as he brings his stories to a written conclusion. His hints at a future for the Poldarks and their loved ones that makes me want for more.

Wonderful ending to a long, beloved saga!

And the long story of love and marriage and children and legacy ends. How many other novels in a series chronicle so beautifully more than 35 years of love and life in one endearing family?

So much love for the Poldark series!!!

Ross Poldark is a complicated character to love, but I do love him. Winston Graham's Poldark series is excellent, its first book is by far the best. Its strong, simple and straightforward. The next few waver, but are all still very, very good. The last two are amazing. The story line's are unbelievable, packed with so many coincidences and twists and turns that they're very over the top, but the character development is phenomenal. In many situations Graham's writing was ahead of his time, especially with psychology and disability. I'm just sad I listened to them all so quickly. I'm sure I'll return to them in the future, though. Also, it should be noted that Graham's obvious love for Cornwall is only paralleled by Thomas Hardy's love for his Wessex. Standing on the cliffs of Cornwall is definitely on my bucket list thanks to Graham.

An Alternate Reality

I have listened to all 12 Poldark books twice. Early on I invited listeners to hop into Winston Graham’s Time Machine and be transported to Cornwall, England of 1790 to 1815. Graham has woven history into well-crafted characters’ personal dramas with amazing skill. These are read with equally amazing skill. Hop in, you won’t be sorry!

You won't be disappointed

If you've made it this far in the series, you'll enjoy this! I didn't want the Poldark series to end, but this was a good way to go.

Marvelous!!!

A wonderful series, I wish PBS had stuck to the true storyline, they did not need to change anything. Love the development of the lives of everyone in the family!

Love Poldark series

I love all of the Poldark series book. They are among my favorites. The narrator does a wonderful job. However, in this series the sound is just off. When it was playing on my car stereo I even thought there was something wrong with my speakers. It’s just this book. The other series books sound good.
