Publisher's summary

Vanessa

I was never supposed to fall in love with him.

We were only supposed to be a quick spring fling, he was leaving, and I was going to college.
It was for the best, with his secrets and his darkness, the two of us were never meant to last.

A year later, a chance encounter brought us back together.
It was one night to say goodbye.

The following day he left and he took everything with him, including my heart. What I hadn’t realized at the time was that he left a little piece of him behind with me.

Now, three years later, I have a beautiful son.
I never expected to see him again.

Until he shows up with his brothers, and the secret I’ve been keeping is finally revealed.
I thought I had moved on, fixed my broken heart, and was ready to continue with my life.

But the moment I lay eyes on Kolten, I realize I never did get my heart back, and despite the history between us and all the broken pieces at our feet, I was willing to try again.

Even if another heart break at the hand of this man would likely be my ruin.

Kolten

She thinks it was easy for me.
To leave her behind and not come back for her.
But I did it for a reason, I was darkness, she was light, and I couldn’t drag her down with me.

It was beneath these dark skies five years ago when I fell in love for the first and last time, and Vanessa Hale still owns my heart, even after all these years apart.

But now I’m back, and the woman I love is now the mother to a child I didn't know I had.
I was finally free from my past, and this was my end game.
But the tricky thing about history is that it has a tendency to repeat itself.

Beneath These Dark Skies: Ravenpeak Bay, Book 3 is a small town dark romance. It is third and the final book in a series of interconnected standalones.

It is a dark romance. A list of TWs and CWs can be found at the start of the book.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

This story was so sweet! I loved it being told the way it was, with it starting 5 yrs in the past and progressing all the way to current. Great tension between the two leads and some hot hot hot dirty talk!

Some of the side stories/conflict with other characters won’t make sense of you don’t listen to the first 2 books in the series.

Avery Caris and JF Harding doing an awesome job on the dual narration!

Best of the series!

How did I know that Kolt would be my favorite brother? I was over here thinking no one could possibly beat Rett, and then Ria goes and writes KOLT!!! His pure love for Nessa and Ethan warmed my heart. Kolt is such a fierce protector, and it’s clear that every decision he’s made (even leaving Nessa) was to protect her. This was such a beautiful finale to this series; definitely the best of the three!

I reread via audiobook, and JF Harding and Avery Caris made this 10/10 book even better! I loved this SO much!

Not my favorite in the series…

While I have absolutely loved this series, specifically because it’s got the darker vibes, the suspense, while also having great romance, this book fell a little flat for me. For me, it was missing the high stakes that the other books had and just felt more like a small town romance. I feel like there were so many opportunities to work something in with his background, but it never really happened. Still enjoyed, but was a little disappointed based on how much I loved the first two
