About this listen
I lived my life as a prisoner.
I’ve always been told stories about the real world, but I haven’t seen it for myself. All I have ever known is pain.
And darkness.
They tell me I have been blind since birth.
When I make my escape, I think freedom is finally within my grasp...
Until I’m captured by the paranormal police for a murder I didn’t commit. Apparently, I have powers—powers I have always suspected myself of having. Normal people can’t see through other people’s eyes, right?
Thrust into Nightmare Penitentiary, I meet a group of hard, alpha, psychotic inmates who believe I’m the answer to all their prayers. Me? I’m just trying to survive and figure out what it means to live. My new home isn’t just a prison, but a labyrinth with horrors around every corner.
But what if the cost of my life is my freedom? Am I willing to trade one cage for another?
Welcome to Nightmare Penitentiary, where you come in handcuffs and leave in a body bag.
This is not a bully romance. These men are all hardened criminals and extreme alphas, but they adore their female. Be prepared to enjoy a painfully naïve female lead who slowly grows as the book progresses and a group of psychotic, murderous males. This book contains strong language, sexual situations, and a reverse harem romance. This book is the first in a duet.

Overall Great Story
Bridget and Jake are excellent narrators as always! The guys are so soft for their girl but hard against anyone who tries to hurt her. I love how she stayed soft through the book, even when it hurt her. A nice bit of spice, good plot and interesting storyline. I was never bored!

Narrator's are on point but...
The story is good, but the whiny "poor me" "why me" attitude of the MFC throws it off. I get she's blind ... Guess what, girlfriend? She can see through others... that's freaking awesome. There are lots of STRONG blind people out there. I found myself skipping whiny internal dialog because I just couldn't stomach it anymore. I'm sight restricted, and you can be strong, blind and stay soft. The male characters were awesome. OMG Ryan, I wanted to throw him down... duct tape his mouth shut, but I was laughing too hard. I don't regret that I used my credits for the purchase. Different narrators and the book wouldn't have been nearly as good.

Narration is top shelf
I looooove when the narration is fully integrated with male and female in all the chapters. It makes it so much more enjoyable and this narration duo does such an excellent job with this story. The story itself was also very engaging and for such a heavy and emotional story I was laughing a lot

Katie May is quickly becoming a fave author of mine!
Another great paranormal reverse harem! I absolutely loved the obsessed MMC’s and especially the FMC. While she is naive, I loved her navigating her life. She was extremely loveable!!! On to more Katie May books!

Gripping Start to a Duet
The book hooked me from a chapter one and did not let go until the epilogue of book 2. This was my first read from Katie May and I would recommend this to anyone interested in a dark paranormal RH!
I has listed to many Bridget and Jake Bordeaux performance and they are favorite narrating duo! Their performance really adds to an already amazing story, and I love that even when the chapters switch perspective they are consistent in having dialogue voiced by the voice actor for that character (i.e. Bridget always voiced Nina’s dialogue in book, even if it was a chapter in Cain’s perspective that Jake voiced the rest of). They also achieve these switches in a smooth seamless way (not like in some others I have listened to where the audio was spliced together after the fact and the audio quality or tone of the voice differences are jarring to the listener).

This was a great job at fanfiction
I am a big fan of Ivy, Asher and Raven Kennedy when they wrote conveniently convicted, I was hooked on that book this writer wolves such a great story, and kept all of the comedy in essence. In everything that you expected from conveniently convicted is in this book the naïve blind girl is a great twist to the story and her having six strong men is amazing love this book will recommend.

Book 1 of 2
I liked the plot and narration. Wrongful conviction of an innocent girl sent to the scariest prison. How she survives with the help of her mates. Long lost love reunited.

Blindly Indicted
This was a great story. I like when they have two narrators for a story one the males and one for the females.
