Publisher's summary

At 33, Coy Davidson is a beautiful blonde with a southern accent and a successful practice as a physician assistant. She has a comfortable home, good friends, and a loving family. She’s also a widow, carrying a burden of responsibility for her wife’s untimely death. She lost her footing that day, gave up her dream to become a doctor, and swore off of relationships. Now, three years later, she’s ready to turn her life on end to regain what she’s lost.

At 29, Coby O’Brien is a woman with secrets. She’s estranged from her family, a recovering alcoholic who feels like she’s unlovable. When she loses her job as a heavy equipment operator, she’ll accept one in Antarctica that will cause her path to cross with Coy’s, forcing her to step outside her comfort zone. Having caught next to no breaks in life, it could turn out to be her break of a lifetime - if only she can find the courage to do what she’s been afraid to do since she was a girl.

Set against the backdrop of twinkling Christmas lights, Coy and Coby must tap into courage before they can seize their chance at love.

wanted to like it more

this audiobook wasn't my favorite. I wanted to like the characters more but there were so many times I actually wanted them not to get together. they made Kobe very dumb and quick tempered and I was getting a little tired of hearing it. the story was just okay for me. The narrator did a great job though.

South Pole?

Love never takes a Holiday. When you least expect it, BAM! Love grabs you by the short hairs. Thanks for taking me into someone else’s happiness as I bear my quarantine. Very entertaining, love the using of both names. Off to my next adventure.

They both accept jobs in Antarctica to start over. A complicated relationship begins and pulls both to their destiny. Great performance. Recommend.

Really cute story

Loved the narration!
Didn't spend so much time in the destination to really have the books named as such. I would've loved for them to have explored it more and have it more involved in the storyline. Shorter story than most but was glad it didn't drag neither. Both have pasts and was also pleased that story line didn't drag on more than these types of books tend to do to fill pages.

Realistic read

K.A. Moll created an incredibly realistic adventure between two vastly different women in Blue Ice Landing. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It speaks to me in its honest depiction of a real issue among many people. The isolation and secrecy created by hiding an addiction and its impact while trying to develop any new relationship is so well depicted here. Adding the other personal struggles both women have personally and professionally makes attempts to navigate some type of lasting relationship nearly impossible. This truly an insightful novel. I was engaged enough with this story I listened to it in one day Emily Beresford does an outstanding job narrating this novel with the emotion and humor that is K.A. Moll threaded through the entire novel. If I were to define this novel in three words they would be honesty, hope and patience. To those of you who have struggled I hope it speaks to you as it did to me. And for those of you who haven't enjoy the journey traveled here without reservation. Five stars isn't enough for all the attributes of this novel.

I would give it 10 stars, if I could.

Would you listen to Blue Ice Landing again? Why?

Already restarted it, because I know it will be just as good the second time as the thirtieth.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Coby, because I could relate to her struggle.

What does Emily Beresford bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have read the book, and gave it 5 stars.....but Ms. Beresford takes it to a new level. Am going to look into other books she was recorded.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Coy told Coby the truth.

Any additional comments?

This is an amazing story, whether you read it or listen to it. I think this is one of Ms.Moll's best works. This one is worth every dollar you spend.

E. Beresford outstandibg voice differences leads you away into a world of misunderstanding and a good heartfelt story.
