Publisher's summary

With 10 years of marriage under their belt, Zane and Jaina are coasting. The little things they used to do for one another have fallen by the wayside. They've gotten busy with life. They've forgotten to nurture their love and relationship. Even soul mates can stumble on hard times and have marital difficulties.

At 47, both are successful professionals. Jaina is an associate professor in a renowned school of social work. Zane is the pastor of a large congregation. They have two kids, one in juvenile detention, and the other anxious. When Zane joins the faculty of a seminary, in addition to her full-time job responsibilities, she's short on time, and neglects Jaina.

Enter Amelia, a new faculty member in Jaina's building. She's new in town, young, and very pretty. She's also not at all how she seems. Oh, and she's very interested in Jaina. When an argument with Zane causes Jaina to storm out angry, she reaches out to Amelia. Of course, she seizes the opportunity. And for a moment of indiscretion, Jaina could lose everything.

Engrossing book

I’d already read part of this book, and read several books that had these characters in it, including Soul Mates, where they met and married.

Having read enough of K A Moll’s books, I knew this wouldn’t be fluffy or easy to get through, but it would be worth it. And I was right.

The narrator for this book is different from Soul Mates. Both did well, but this narrator was better.

Great follow up to Soul Mates.

Would you consider the audio edition of For a Moment's Indiscretion to be better than the print version?

Not sure, I enjoyed the book and the recording.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, it is a great story.

Have you listened to any of Emily Beresford’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have a few a few of her recordings, she is fabulous in all of them.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me cry, it was heartbreaking, but finished very well.

Any additional comments?

Another great book by Ms Moll, I have read all of her books, and this one is one of my favorites.

Enjoyable.

Any additional comments?

I LOVE Emily Beresford's narration. Great job with the narration. There is a lot of unhappiness and angst in this book. Not a lot of lightness.

Moving story

When they say "don't use your phone when you are drunk", same should be said "Don't do anything stupid when you are angry". One time it took and you attract someone who has issues and think you belong together. After that it goes down the hill and you are not sure how can you save yourself!
I totally understand the main character. The issues she went trough are legit, maybe not as much melodramatic, however with her past? Very much so. I enjoyed the book and in my case Audiobook.

3 Strikes & out

This book was great with the perfect amount of Mystery. Felt like I was listening to a story on Murder She Wrote. Off to my next adventure.

You won't be disappointed!

KA Moll has a way with words.
Never have I ever ...read a book and been so in tune with characters and their flaws.
If you haven't read this book, or listened to it's audible version...i would surely urge you to do so.
The twists and turns beckon you back for more with each page. and just when you think you have it all figured out. BAM!
Zane and Jaina are the ultimate pair. Stack the odds against them, and they are a force to be reckoned with. Together, as well as apart.

Soul Mates by KA Moll is where their journey starts. If you get the chance, take a read or a listen to that one as well. Neither book will disappoint!

Excellent audiobook

I love how KA Moll managed to write a complex story in such an accessible and entertaining way.

The cheating happens in the first few moments and thereafter it becomes a thriller about stalking and a drama about finding your feet and rediscovered love: this was Moll's best work to date and I loved every moment of it.

Great story, great narration

That was a tough one… I don’t like nasty characters, I don’t like when people are mean to others. Yet it’s interesting too to read books where not everything goes right, or ends well. The story begins as Zane and Jaina’s couple is struggling. Zane, a pastor, is convinced her wife Jaina, a social work teacher, is cheating on her. She’s not, not yet. But after a fight, Jaina finds herself outside her colleague Amelia’s door, and Amelia, an unbalanced younger woman, takes full advantage of the situation. From then on, Jaina and Zane work on getting their lives back together while Amelia keeps making it difficult for them.

This story kept me on the edge of my seat all along. Amelia is a total psychopath and man, is she scary… Also, I have a tendency to roll my eyes when writers use miscommunication as their main way to create angst but Jaina’s sleep deprivation and ensuing paranoia makes it a lot more believable.

Emily Beresford’s intense style of narration is often overly dramatic for my taste. In this case, though, it fits. Her voice is a little like the spooky music in spooky movies when something terrifying is about to happen. And I love her voice for Amelia, it’s off in just the right way.

I found out after I had finished listening that For a Moment’s Indiscretion is book 2 in a series (book 1 is Soul Mates). It can totally be read as a standalone but might be better when knowing more about the characters’ backstories.

It was a good audiobook!

First, let me start off with the Narration of this 🎧 book... Emily Beresford Really did an outstanding job with this book. I’ve listened to her threw out other books. She always has a different take on each of the characters and brings them to life. You can tell who each of the characters our and the book flows well with her reading it.
Now as for the story, It’s been a while since I’ve read the acutely book. It wasn’t until I started listening to it that I began to remember how the story goes. The betrayal is immediate and threw out a good half of the book there’s a lot of angst and misunderstandings with some Stalking and danger for one of the main characters. The rest of the book is about healing and forgiveness and finding ones way back to each other. I have to say, Kudos to KA Moll who writes this particular story very well. She gets to the heart of the matter and doesn’t make it easy for the main characters to find there way back to one another immediately. It’s raw and heart breaking at times and you truly feel for them and want to see them back together. Bravo to KA Moll and Emily Beresford for a wonderful book to listen too. 5⭐️

I really wanted to enjoy this book

I am usually able to deal with some of the actions and choices that characters make and realize it’s just a book, but at times the actions of the characters were just frustrating and confusing. This book had the potential to be a great piece. It wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t recommend.
