Publisher's summary

Boss rule number one: Never sleep with your employee.

Apparently, rules aren’t my thing. Because the moment I wake up naked next to my hot-as-hell new employee, I want to go for round two.

I'm not exactly Prince Charming. Some call me The Wolf. I don’t do love, and I sure as hell don’t do forever. But one look at her, and I become a one-woman man.

She has a British accent and a car that won’t start. I’m in a rush, so I do what I need to do and send her on her way - sure I’ll never see her again.

Then she shows up at my company to interview for a new position. What are the odds? So I hire the long-legged beauty from the UK.

The guys are circling her like vultures. But she’s my prey. In six months, her visa will expire, and she’ll be back overseas. What can a little down-and-dirty fun hurt?

But one kiss turns into two, then three, then more. Suddenly, I’m defenseless against her charms. But the second I start to picture a future, She quits. Vanishes - without warning or explanation.

She’s left back to the UK...I know I need her back. And I only have one chance to make things right.

A full-length sizzling romance from USA Today best-selling Author Jolie Day. AN ENJOYABLE LISTEN

I’m scratching my head right now as I reflect over this listen.. it was a Bikerish book, a Forbidden hot Billionaire Boss book and an Oops story stirred into one enjoyable cocktail of attraction, denial and resistance. Whenever he can, Joel Embry is a booted biker alpha player who ‘hits n quits’ with no strings.. one Fated day he briefly stops to give a tempting flustered stranded stranger kerbside assistance with her car. That same day, he’s also a charismatic, well-dressed, sexy, surprised CEO who is stunned to find out he’s going to interview that same stunning British beauty who, coincidentally, applied for a job at his Company Embry Gear. And somewhere down the line he becomes another casualty of the “marriage and kids are strictly off the table” reformed bachelors too. Charlie is desperate, she’s running out of money, she’s had nothing but rejection letters and she needs a job in fashion urgently because her Visa is running out. And, as Joel and Charlie interact, there’s instant spark and sizzles which leads to simmering temptations, office sex, fireworks, boundaries, mixed messages, a fateful business trip and much more.. and what happens in Vegas can’t possibly stay in Vegas. An entertaining story with a drooling, strong-willed heroine who falls hard for her Boss - but won’t be a marriage mistake after a drunken night.. or settle for anything less than love. An entertaining story with good build-up and a enjoyable romance.. however, I did think certain parts of the the storyline could’ve done with a wee bit more depth. The dual POV narration by Samantha and Jason was perfect (.. love you Jason💕) and, IMO, they added a ⭐️ to my rating.. WORTH A CREDIT? Yes, it’s fun, sexy and enjoyable.

Cute biker millionaire romance

A fake marriage, boss/ employee story that includes a businessman biker and a smart, pretty, kind young Brit. Lots of banter and a cute story with minimal drama. An easy beach read and a good sale book choice.

Good but rushed

I thought the premise was a good idea but so many of the details were glossed over. The whole thing seemed rushed and a little too “instalove” to make the story one you could really lose yourself in. It was like reading an outline that never got fully formed.

Not Worth The Credit!

Dear Author,

Where is the depth? Where is the common sense that makes this book work? Instant attraction and sleeping together does not make a man fall in love. You expect us to believe a billionaire / gang / biker who doesn't have feeling, want kids or believe in love falls in love after two bangs, a alcohol induced Vegas marriage. Make it make sense. Infatuation maybe. Not love. They spent no time together. What does he love?

Okay, so lets pretend we believe that. Guess what it doesn't matter because now I don't like her. She gets pregnant and leaves the country without telling him. She snaps at him because he calls her, she brings up work but when he responds she gets mad. For real? She is selfish. She takes no responsibility in any of this. I DON'T LIKE HER!!! If he wouldn't have came after her because he "loves" her he would never know he has a child. GROSS!

Clearly he is broken and that is explained but there is no good reason given that she is a completely horrible character.

Another GROSS factor they sleep together in the moms house. He just forgives her with no talk about her taking away his choice of knowing she was pregnant.

The pregnancy comments don't make sense either. "Skipping meals makes me faint." Really? you have known you're pregnant all of five minutes. When did she skip a meal?

Lastly, what us the point in providing all this insight on his past? It did nothing for the story. Instead you should have built their relationship.

RUSHED, NO DEPTH, NO EMOTIONAL CONNECTION, NO COMMON SENSE!

Returning.

Very Disappointing

Nope.....
Just Nope.....

The build-up took forever and it was just toooo bland!!!!
I honestly think this was a waste of my credit which is a surprise because I really enjoyed the baby daddy one... Book one was terrific that's why I opted to listen to this but to my disappointment it was not what I expected....
I will try another one to give the author another chance...
but I will go in glass half empty...
