About this listen

One, two, three, four...

I declare a deadly war.

Five, six, seven, eight...

I can't keep my mind straight.

Nine, ten...

I'll hunt her down and make her mine again.

I'm not the kind of man to take dares lightly. They tend to make me more...insane.

And someone made the biggest dare of all.

They took Chloe.

She's in the place I escaped from. And my mania is on overload. I'm frantic. I'm reckless. I'm murderous. My mind is chaos. I can feel her, sense her, and scent her.

Her fear. Her madness. Her need.

My instincts are on overload.

And I'm not the type of hunter that uses a gun.

I reap havoc. I'll rip my prey to shreds. I'll bathe in their blood. I'll screw on their bodies.

I won't stop.

Her love...

Our love...

Is a dangerous, unhealthy, addictive...

Chaotic mess.

I can't live. I can't breathe. I can't think without it.

Eleven, twelve, thirteen...

I'm going to make you scream.

Blew me away, just like the first book! Wow!

The beginning of this book... it was heart-wrenching. I talked about the epic narration of these two narrators in my review of the first book but it needs to be said again just how unbelievable they were. Hearing Chloe as a child tore me apart. I just loved everything about these two books, so freaking much. I won't go into it much more than that because I'd end up giving away spoilers, but it was absolutely a 5 star series. The next part of my review is a little more general. I don't want to get on some high horse or anything but I can't help but say a few things on the topic of mental illness. I loved that the author didn't glorify or demean mental illness, that maybe more people will start to understand that people that are ill in any capacity deserve love and care just like everyone else. I have family members with mild mental illnesses, I've had my own struggles, and I also said in my first review for Lunatic that I work in mental health. It's hard to see people lose the support of their family because they're just tired of "dealing with them" and give up on them after their expectation of them being a "normal person" isn't met. They aren't normal and they won't be, and that is okay. They don't need to be "normal", they need to be who the person they want to be and feel free being. And I want to make it clear that when I say leave behind, I don't mean that you understand your limits and that it's too draining for the person to live with you. It's another thing entirely to leave a person behind permanently and expect others to provide love that only a family member can give. So please, if anyone out there has a family member that has their own struggles, give them a call at the hospital, group home, treatment apartment, wherever they are, and let them know you care. Such a small thing can mean so much to someone. In this day and age, we just expect that places like the hospital in this book are just made up, but I'm here to tell you that they are not. I found out when getting records for someone once what they went through at a hospital they used to live in, and there are places out there that have uncaring staff and take advantage of the ill, treating them atrociously. It's also true that their stories are considered nonsense, and they're just ignored when they make a complaint. I've seen complaints that have resulted from delusions, and I've seen real ones. Many of the complaints I saw nestled away online where no one sees them haunt me to this day. This is mostly happening in very specific states where the mental health system is horrible (*cough cough Florida cough cough*). I don't mean to make some kind of derisive review but while Zane's condition is dramatized to an extent, the abuse is not. I just thought it could be fitting to say this here, on a review for a book that discusses these issues. I would apologize for posting this here, but I think it's valuable to bring this information to light so more people in the public understand that they probably know very little not only about mental illness itself but about the system that treats them. I'm lucky enough to live in a state that has strict rules to protect my clients, but not everyone is that lucky. Anyway, this book is an excellent read and it undoubtedly reminded me about the importance of compassion and understanding for others, especially people that fight a battle in their own minds each day. I truly enjoyed these two books.

it takes a village

Everyone deserves advocacy, compassion, empathy and passion. I appreciate this author going outside of the box and still offering a tremendous story.

Another amazing story!

When I read Chaotic, I was impressed and amazed at the incredible story that had been written. You can tell how much thought and details went into the research for the topics that are covered. Getting to listen to it, it’s a whole second experience.

Aaron and Tieran are back narrating the voices of Zain and Chloe. Aaron does an incredible job for Zain. His voice is perfect and the other voices he has to narrate for briefly as the other characters that Zain interacts with are perfect! His narrating hooked me once again right into the story. Tiernan narrates smoothly in between Chloe’s personality changes and all of the events that transpire with Chloe and Jessica.

This book was my second experience reading about characters with severe mental issues and I’m blown away.

Ruthless Forever !!!! =)

Chaotic was just as the title states CHAOTIC. This book made me angry ,laugh and cry. I loved the way Zain loved Jessica, Chloe and all his friends. Mentally ill people are people and should be treated with love and respect like everyone else, and this book did that. Thank you S.L. Savage . I would love a book with only Zain ,Jessica, Chloe, Tongue and Daphne on a road trip. I could only imagine the chaos. Ruthless Forever

YESSS!!! 🌶🌶🌶

I didn’t write a review for the first book because I wanted to finish the series first. The whole concept was amazing!! The narration was on point and the different voices the female narrator used were freaking perfect. This was a beautiful and heart breaking story. I probably need therapy because I love Zane but that’s dark romance right? Is the series worth the credit. 100000%

The Best!!

Excellent follow up book to the first! I breezed through it and was left wanting more. It really makes you connect with the characters whether you have mental health issues or not. The narrators both do a wonderful job. I hope they continue with their story but it is left nicely wrapped up.

An Amazing Book

Chaotic was an amazing read. The story continues to bring us Zane and Chloe/Jessica's journey. They have many obstacles in the way of their love, with many more thrown in their way. With the help of the Ruthless Kings, they fight for their right to be together. Aaron Shedlock and Tieran Wilder bring you to the edge of your chair with their narrative.

Why only 2 Books in this series?

❤Amazing books in a series of 2 books, the disappointment is that there is only 2 books.... what about Zipper? More in this specific series.
