Everything was excellent, except...

Frank Herbert's entire Dune series is a treasure. One of the narrators pronounced the names and locations so differently from the other narrators that it actually ruined my immersion in the story. I really wish that Macmillan Audio would have just stuck with the narrator that did the majority of the book. He's fantastic.

Layers upon layers

Upon reflection, each story seems meant to buffer and plant the seeds for the story that follows. Chapterhouse is an amazing culmination of events from the previous five dune books, and is triumphant in its execution of dialog and compelling character development.

Simon Vance as narrator perfects this wonderful series.

Overall good, but with it's flaws.

I really love the Dune saga.
I do however not like when multiple narrators are used. It tends to lead to multiple different pronunciations of names like Scytale, which is pronounced "Sytale" by some (and in all related books up to this point), but also "Skytale" by a couple of the narrators. The concept Powindah is pronounced with a emphasis on the win-part by most narrators, but one chose to emphasise the po-part.
Names and important concepts, should be hammered out before recording the narration.

Maybe I'm overly sensitive, but it stems from my love of the material.

Great story

Only problem is some of the performers are not that great... some get annoying... great end to the story... oh n don't read the continuation of this story from the son!! Not worth it... a noble but a lacking amateur attempt at finishing the story

Pretty awesome!

I loved hearing this in the audiobook format. The only thing I would change is instead of using three narrators, I would have stuck to just one.

Solid Chapter of the Dune Saga!

I liked this way more than Heretics! A must listen for Dune fans! I really enjoyed this! Shame this was Frank’s last story but it’s a damn good one!

A heading is required

can't they have the actors agree on pronunciation before they start recording? otherwise good, but significantly different from the first four.

This is was a little hard to follow

I found myself continuously rewinding the finding the story because I couldn't make sense of what I was hearing. It felt like the transitions from one perspective to another perspective like picked up in mid sentence so it was just hard to follow had it listen over and over again and then finally finished chapter. The story over all is good the performance was well done. I just felt like the actual story in and of itself the way it was processed chapter the chapter was lacking.

My favorite book of all time

All of Frank Herbert's Dune series are good, but Chapterhouse is his masterpiece. Every time I read it, I'm able to get something more out of the story. It really brings the whole saga full circle, and has moments of tenderness and compassion which is often hard to find in the Dune universe.
