Sabrina is the unpaid consultant to her small town detective husband, but this time she has to help from a safe distance due to a recent positive pregnancy test. She found a friend dead in his living room and it was no accident. Lots of irate and noncompliant suspects complicate the investigation right up to its resolution.
The story is good, but I wasn't in the mood for a melodramatic narration. Sorry.

However, circumstances pulled her in, and the duo are back together for another short & enjoyable cozy!

CHOCOLATE PUDDING WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the eleventh book in the Daley Buzz Mysteries series. Each cozy mystery will stand on its own, but the background story of Sabrina’s life is best enjoyed if you read them all in the order of release.

I love this family-friendly series, and this is a perfect contribution to the storyline. I love David’s protectiveness of his newly growing family.

Having Sabrina trying to be more stand-back, means most of the story was David explaining what he found at work and her helping to brainstorm like a good little wifey at home. This didn’t feel like the Sabrina I’ve come to know. Of course, she couldn’t stay completely out of it…

Narration: Another new voice for the Daley Buzz family, Stephanie Quinn did a great job. Her voice is clear and consistent, and she maintains a good pace throughout. I’m not particular fond of the voice she produced for David – he sounds too old – but that’s the problem with coming in to voice a series on the 11th book.

Sabrina and David are expecting a bundle of joy, so when a murder case comes up, it only makes sense for Sabrina to take a step back. No matter how hard she tries to stay out of it, the behind the scenes work just keeps pulling her back in!

As a new narrator to the series, i found that Stephanie Quinn’s interpretations of the characters was a little off from what I’ve come to expect. It wasn’t bad, just different.

Sabrina is an amateur sleuth who works with her husband Detective David to solve murders. She just found out she is pregnant and he has her promise to stay out of the investigation. She holds great restraint but stumbles on clues to help her husband get the answers needed to solve the murder. The characters are believable and interesting and the narration is great. iIt keeps you interested till the end. I reccommend this book.

Chocolate Pudding with a side of Murder: Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery, Book 11 by Meredith Potts, narrated by Stephanie Quinn is a great addition to the series. At a little under three hours, this cozy mystery is short enough to finish in one sitting or over the course of a day or two, if you prefer to spread it out. It is both relaxing and engaging, and even though it is part of a series, there is enough background info that it could be considered a standalone. But, it's so much more fun to start at the beginning...don't you think?

Stephanie Quinn's performance as narrator is great! I love listening to her because her voice is inviting and clear. She has different voices for different characters, making it easy to follow along, and her pace and volume are perfect for this book.

I give Chocolate Pudding with a Side of Murder: Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery, Book 11 by Meredith Potts, narrated by Stephanie Quinn 5/5 stars. I liked that Sabrina showed some self-control in this book, but was still able to help solve the case. I recommend it to fans of cozies or clean mysteries. Thank you so much for reading my review. Chocolate Pudding With a Side of Murder, My twenty-fourth short read/listen from author Meredith Potts, Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Stephanie Quinn. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
