Publisher's summary
Your Ultimate Guide to Book 1 in 3 Cold Calls
Cold calling is painful and uncomfortable for every single salesperson on Earth.
The average seller makes a couple dials, hits 6 voicemails, and gives up the moment a prospect hits them with a nasty objection.
But every time you decide to pick up the phone in spite of the suck, you separate yourself from the folks who quit. That's when you get ahead on the leaderboard.
Cold calling sucks. And that's why it works.
While most books are a 400-page exercise in academia, we have 4 promises to make this the most actionable sales book you've ever heard of:
- Step-by-Step Breakdowns & Talk Tracks: You'll learn how to win the first 60 seconds, overcome any objection, and land the meeting.
- Audio Clips to Master Tone: It's not just what you say, but how you say it. Listen to over 31 voiceovers
- Examples for Every Industry: Learn from interviews with 200+ elite reps who sell SaaS, real estate, and everything in-between.
- Backed by Gong Data on 300M+ Cold Calls: Every tactic is supported by results from real cold calls so you know it actually works.
If you embrace the suck of cold calling and master the frameworks in this book, you'll reach the top 10% of reps who book 1 meeting for every 3 cold calls that connect.
This is your step-by-step-guide to get there.
Founders of the #1 sales podcast, 30 Minutes to President's ClubArm and Farrokh led Pave from $0 to $13M+ ARR in two years as VP of Sales, and Nick Cegelski won #1 Enterprise Seller multiple times selling 6 & 7-figure deals.

Story
People don't buy from people they like. No! Your buyer doesn't care about you or your product or service. It's not your job to overcome objections, it's your buyer's. Closing isn't a skill of good salespeople; it's the skill of weak salespeople. Price isn't the main reason salespeople lose the sale. Gap Selling shreds traditional and closely held sales beliefs that have been hurting salespeople for decades. For years, salespeople have embraced a myriad of sales tactics and belief systems that have unknowingly created many of the issues they have been trying to avoid.

Story
In sales, the worst thing you can hear from a customer isn’t “no.” It’s “I need to think about it.” When this happens, deeply entrenched business advice says to double down on your efforts to sell a buyer on all the ways they might win by choosing you and your business. But this approach backfires dramatically. Why? Because it completely gets wrong the primary driver behind purchasing decision-making: once purchase intent is established, customers no longer care about succeeding. What they really care about is not failing.

The described symptoms are different from one company to another, but Darius noticed that all they are related to the same illness: the inability to qualify. This book covers both the why and the how of sales qualification. It describes the MEDDIC (Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Identify Pain, Champion) sales methodology in-depth. This is not a book of theories or academic concepts, but techniques with practical recipes.

Story
Why have history's greatest minds - from George Washington to Frederick the Great to Ralph Waldo Emerson along with today's top performers, from Super Bowl-winning football coaches to CEOs and celebrities - embraced the wisdom of the ancient Stoics? Because they realize that the most valuable wisdom is timeless and that philosophy is for living a better life, not a classroom exercise. The Daily Stoic offers a daily devotional of Stoic insights and exercises, featuring all-new translations.

Since you were old enough to hold a job, you've been hoodwinked to believe that wealth can be created by blindly trusting in the uncontrollable and unpredictable markets: the housing market, the stock market, and the job market. I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. For those who don't want a lifetime subscription to "settle-for-less", there is an alternative.

The Antidote is a series of journeys among people who share a single, surprising way of thinking about life. What they have in common is a hunch about human psychology: that it’s our constant effort to eliminate the negative that causes us to feel so anxious, insecure, and unhappy. And that there is an alternative "negative path" to happiness and success that involves embracing the things we spend our lives trying to avoid.

The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

For as long as salespeople have been asking buyers to make commitments, buyers have been throwing out objections. And, for as long as buyers have been saying no, salespeople have yearned for the secrets to getting past those NOs. Objections is a comprehensive and contemporary guide that engages your heart and mind.

Great Sales book
Written for those who believe that “social selling is the only thing that works” or “AI enhanced emails is all I need” or (especially) “I’m to senior to do cold calls”.
Actionable tips for every part of the Sales process. Highly recommended to buy the Audible and a print/kindle version

Actionable tips that can make an impact right away
I loved the format of the book and especially the audiobook. The authors narrate the audio book so you can really hear what they mention about tone. Would definitely recommend for any seller

Great guide book for cold calling.
Step by step guide to making the dreaded cold call. Many people say that cold calling is dead, but if done right, it can still be a big part of building a pipeline. This book is great for doing just that. Easy to listen to with actionable steps that can be implemented immediately.

One of my favorite sales books of all time
Great listen, incredibly insightful even for someone who has been in presidents club multiple times and has 8+ years of selling under their belt.

Wow! Refreshing - renaissance styled approach…
I normally do not rate sales related audio books b/c honestly, they’re a lot of fluff and don’t really help. This audio book is great! So much so that I am listening to it again. It’s pretty direct and short for an audiobook so I am going to play it again and again to stay in the zone. I’m also going to purchase the hard copy. Simple, data driven and at times pretty funny!
