About this listen
Sloan's goals were simple.
Raise her status and stay alive.
Now, she's going to lose everything.
Freedom was a word Sloan had heard echo throughout Technohaven's districts. However, it was an idea that most of the city's citizens couldn't comprehend. Between manipulative automatons and limited digital currency, there was no room for growth—for life.
With no other choice, sisters Sloan and Maya Delaney had to cheat their way into the upper district—a place of opportunity and, most of all, hope.
Hidden within the city's elite borders, they were safe. Their past would remain in the past so long as they didn't slip up. Didn't take more than they were given. Accepted the regime's word as law.
And it worked... until Maya disappeared.
Sloan's position as a quantum data sleuth allowed her to track her sister's last-recorded movements, but hacking into the city's system wasn't an easy feat. From within the nano-controlled walls of the police department, probing cameras and questionable allies saw her every move and heard her every whisper.
Sloan was about to lose her composure, when a group of rebels revealed themselves, saving her from discovery.
Working with the Guardians was the last thing Sloan wanted. It risked the life that she'd painstakingly built.
But how could she refuse, when disobeying the regime was the only way to save her sister?
With droids stalking Sloan's every step, rebellion blooming across Technohaven, an attractive golem disrupting her emotions, and rogues questioning her intentions, the data sleuth searched for answers.
But, in a world of hidden codes, answers only lead to more questions...

I struggled to finish
Story is just okay. Narrator's voice is pleasant but her cadence is off-putting. it sounds as if she can't believe what she's saying for the whole book.
