Publisher's summary

“I’ll never ask for you to be with me, to love me, to appreciate me and what I have to offer. Everything I do will be for you. I will be unabashedly devoted to making you happy. The choice will always have to be yours. But if you continue to choose me? I promise to give you everything I am, everything I will ever be, everything you can even imagine. There will never be a moment of your life where you will ever question where I stand with you, how I feel, or whether I choose you. But I’ll never ask, Jhorie. I can’t. The choice will always have to be yours.”—Ezekiel

“You’ll never have to ask because the decision has already been made. I’ve already chosen you, Ezekiel, and my choice is never changing.”—Jhorie

Currently Reading…

I love this story. Overall, it’s well written and meaningful but the woman narrator is dull. She’s reading the story only as if she’s reading off a recipe. She reads very well, but she doesn’t act out the scenes. There’s no passion, excitement, let’s just say her reading lacks the emotions needed for this story. Winston James, on the other hand, is amazing as usual he doesn’t disappoint!

Ezekiel and Jhorie

Ezekiel plays no games when it comes to those he loves. He was mistreated by his ex and desires to be chosen. In hindsight they both chose each other. Zeke and Elias are one of a kind. I really love these brothers. K.C. Mills is a gifted and talented writer. I’m pretty new to her work, but she has yet to miss the mark. Only con was the female narrator lacked character in her reading.

Ooohhh Ezekiel! 😍

Once again K.C. Mills does not disappoint. I love the Omari family! Ezekiel just wants to be chosen and loved and Johrie is the one to show him.

When a Black man loves a Black Woman 🔥🔥🔥

Love My book bae Winston but also love Trei! The story was interesting and kept my attention hitting on many aspects of life’s journeys. Very sexy and hot throughout even though it was definitely fantasy but isn’t that why we read?? Will definitely be reading the next books! 👍🏽

perfect read

this was a great follow-up to book 1. I wondered what was Ezekiels motion throughout the first book and this one cleared it all up. he wanted someone of his own who wanted him. I loved thay there was not a whole bunch of drama to make a good story. I'm fairly new to K.C Mills and sp far I like what I've read

Beautiful love story

I love the fact that he was fiercely protective of his family. I appreciate the perspective that it gave. the ability to love and protect someone while still letting them be independent. well written story

Ezekiel and Jhorie’s love story

I enjoyed the book, though not as much as the first book in this series. Unlike the first book with Cress and E, this book was a lot less convoluted. That’s not necessarily a good thing or a bad thing. I did think that the story could’ve used a little more tension and buildup. Both Ezekiel and Jhorie were likable characters for the most part which I enjoyed. The work that they were doing in the community could’ve used more depth. Iy felt a little rushed. The narration was OK. I liked the female narrator less than the male, and I can’t say that I’d be quick to listen to another book she narrates. All in all this was a good listen.
