About this listen

The third in the New York Times bestselling Maple Hills series follows fan-favorite Henry and a bookish fellow student who come up with a plan to help them both overcome their respective challenges in a difficult year.

When his procrastination lands him in a difficult class with his least favorite professor, Henry Turner knows he’s going to have to work extra hard to survive his junior year of college. And now with his new title of captain for the hockey team—which he didn’t even want—Henry absolutely cannot fail. Enter Halle Jacobs, a fellow junior who finds herself befriended by Henry when he accidentally crashes her book club.

Halle may not have the romantic pursuits of her favorite fictional leads, but she’s an academic superstar, and as soon as she hears about Henry’s problems with his class reading material, she offers to help. Too bad being a private tutor isn’t exactly ideal given her own studies, job, book club, and the novel she’s trying to write. But new experiences are the key to beating her writer’s block, and Henry’s promising to be the one to give them to her.

They just need to stick to their rule book.

Oh, and not fall in love.

Fake Dating with a Twist

It was an enjoyable end to this series. I loved seeing all the previous characters play a role in this book! It was a cute twist on fake dating. Lots of heavy topics with an anxiety representation.

This story focused on Henry and Halle. Henry is the new team captain of their school hockey team and an artist. Hali is an aspiring writer and major people pleaser. They come together to help each other out and end up becoming so much more.

I didn't love the family dynamics of the FMC, Halle. It's a trend I'm seeing that I'm not a fan of. I did enjoy the overall premise and would recommend it to those who loved the other books in the series.

Friendship matters

I love how these characters take care of each other! I was so sad to see this story come to the finish. This is now my favorite contemporary series.

I will read this multiple times!!!

I’ve enjoyed this entire series. They all gave me the feels but this one was filled with so much more. Hannah Grace is my new favorite author as she helps the readers understand mental health, family dynamics, relationships, and so much more from her characters.

Best Romantic Book Ever

Hannah Grace did it again!! This book is probably my favorite from her! I love Icebreaker and Wildfire but Daydream was my favorite by far! I felt like I could really relate to Halle and Henry story. I wanted to thank you Hannah for making this story. Henry was always my favorite character in the other books. Because I hope one day, I to would find a Henry myself. ☺️🩷

This is a must read

I loved the first 2 books but, this one is my absolute favourite I have never connected so much to a female character in life. The way she describes the pressure she receives from her family and the uncertainty she has in friendships based on trauma from a previous relationship s is so real.

Henry’s representation of undiagnosed ADHD is so well written at times had me so emotional for him and my younger self. I wasn’t diagnosed until my later collage years and I wish I had a Halle to help me get through classes that had way too much reading material that didn’t suppose my course. The way she describes shutting down and their growth together and separately was phenomenal

This gave me everything and more

I love all of the Maple Hills Series so far but I was counting down the days to when Henry’s story was available. As someone who is neurodivergent, has crippling ADHD and is a plus size girly who is also an eldest daughter it was so nice to reading this love story where I could see myself represented in both characters. I honestly couldn’t get enough of all the sweetest moments between Halle and Henry. The way that they just connected made my heart sing and I cried happy tears all the way though. Forever grateful to Hannah Grace as she gives me hope that one day I’ll find my own Henry and friendship like the way the UCMH group has.

Simply Beautiful

The love and respect that Halle and Henry showed to one another was just simply beautiful. I loved the romance but I especially loved the character growth they both had. Also, how Halle truly found her people and learned to love herself in the process. Truly awesome book.
