Publisher's summary

When a body is discovered in the grounds on Honeychurch Hall, suspicion falls on the folks in the village. And as the body count begins to build, our heroine, Kat Stanford, becomes inextricably embroiled in the ensuing scandal. Are the deaths the result of a local vendetta, or could they be connected to her mother’s unusual (to say the least) past?

Very entertaining

Easy to follow the story and the characters. I’ve gotten used to the narrator and actually enjoy her reading.

the story seemed very interesting,BUT

I couldn't get past the second chapter, The narrator's voice was so shrill when doing the characters, and she exclaimed !! every!!! single!! thing!!! I'm hoping to find a book by the same author with a different narrator.

Deadly Desires at Honeychurch Hall

This book was not for me. ..It was TOO everything. Too busy, too crazy, too many crazies, too much to enjoy. I'll just say too Keystone Cops. If that doesn't explain it to you, go ahead and read it. Some people love the Keystone Cops concept. I'm not one of them.

A cleverly written mystery/comedy

Very entertaining story! Don't even mind that the murder isn't discovered until late in the story. Interplay between Iris and Kat is great and new characters enhance the story. Nice little dash of the eerie and the descriptions of Alfred as a seer are a little creepy and fun. At times it has the feel of a screwball comedy with Iris and her romance novel post it notes and characters eavesdropping and coming and going. The whole Jersey cash thing is a hoot. I want to hear more about Sean though :) Moving right on to the next one. Highly recommend this romp!

Struggled to finish

Although I am glad I finished this book. It was wordy. I wasn't sure what the author was going with the first part of the story. I just kept listening hoping that the good part would come some.
