Publisher's summary

Rayla Shaw has spent her entire life restricted to Station Alpha, orbiting the prison planet Rhodon, an unspoken exception to the "no children" policy. Now grown, Rayla discovers that her father, Warden Shaw, has been lying to her for her entire life and the only person who can tell her why is one of the prisoners.

Armed with supplies, weapons, and a bodyguard, Rayla sneaks onto the planet disguised as an inmate, determined to find answers. But when her shuttle crashes, killing Rayla's bodyguard, she is stranded alone on a planet crawling with violent criminals.

A zone-four loner, Jai sees a shuttle go down in the woods, and he races toward it, intending to salvage what he can. To his surprise, the only survivor is a female prisoner who emerges from the wreckage with an unrestricted gun - easily the most valuable thing in all of zone four. His plan is to seduce the gorgeous new inmate and steal the gun once she's fallen for him.

But before long, Jai realizes he's falling for his prey - and that Rayla may be the only woman on the entire planet he can never have....

Ended too soon!

Love this book! When is the next? Emmy Chandler, outstanding writer! I really didn't want it to end, but, the ending was fantastic. Jillian Macie did a great job on narration making the book real. Love her voice. I could listen to Aiden Snow read a cereal box and enjoy it (sexy voice!). Audible is being given 5 stars to for having this book available, More books would be nice. If you haven't listened to Prison Planet Series then what are you waiting on?

The warden’s daughter!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌎
Character development: 😠😚😁☺️
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Rayla - she is twenty years old, and her father is the warden of the prison planet Rhodon. Rayla has grown up on the space station that orbits the planet, which was technically illegal until two years ago when she became old enough to work. She is an open secret on station alpha. When Rayla was young, she loved and idolized her father. Though recently when she found out that he has been lying to her for her entire life. She is determined to find out the truth, even if she has to go down to the prison planet to find it.

The Hero: Jai - he was a thief and is a prisoner on planet Rhodon. The planet is also known as the devils eye due to the red hue of the planet since it has red grass, red trees and red oceans. The planet is a money-making venture for the universal authority who run it for the Government. With some zones having the inmates provide all kinds of deviant activities for the wealthy from prostitution to fighting in gladiator sort of arena. Jai is in Zone 4 which is where the women and men are in separate settlements, though the women give a certain number of new arrivals to the men for a month at a time and each woman has to choose one to be a guardian, meaning she is with him for the month.

The Story: Rayla wanted to get off of station alpha and out from under her father’s thumb, but when she tried to apply to a college, she found out that her citizen ID number was invalid and that technically she does not officially exist. She bribes one of the guards who has a crush on her into taking her in a shuttle down to the planet. Her father is away and they are on vacation so they plan on returning in a week.

Rayla goes on to the planet disguised as a new prisoner. She is with her friend Kenny, but when the shuttle crashes and Kenny is killed, Rayla realizes she is alone on the prison planet with no way to get off. Kai is out in the forest hunting for Turkey’s when he sees the shuttle crash and goes to check it out and finds Rayla. He thinks she must be the daughter of a wealthy couple since she was alone on the shuttle and new prisoners usually are sent in groups of ten or more.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Aiden Snow and Jillian Macie. Aiden Snow is definitely one of my top two favorite narrators and I love anything he narrates. He has a deep yet soft and sexy voice and is a terrific narrator. Jillian Macie always does a great job as well. She has a nice voice and is good at showing emotions through her voice.

I didn’t quite know how this one would get an HEA, since Rayla is the warden’s daughter and Jai is a prisoner, but I kind of liked how this one ended up and it made sense based on the kind of character her father was. I liked it!

Good story, love the prison planet

Love the set up in this one and the prison planet. I was wondering where the author was going with this series and she did not disappoint. I don't think I can go further with this series and Jillian Macie just grates on my nerves as a narrator. Her range seems to be limited and she reminds me of the middle school mean girls when she tries to add inflection and it just comes out as slow, drawn out nasal sounding words. I will switch to reading the rest instead of buying the Audible version if they ever complete the audio versions.

My fav in this series this far

I enjoyed the break in violence, well drastic reduction of it any way. This story let me continue in this crazy world with out so much stress. Lol. Jai was much gentler than the other leading males in previous installations, more charming and cunning. I liked that he had separated from the male colony choosing to go it alone vs. the brutal primal violent way of the male hoard. And I liked the little maze of lies vs. truths that him and Raylyn went through to get to their end. It was nice to see some fluffy clouded optimism left in the heroines future at the end. But as a whole these books are captivating and beautiful even though they are brutal. I've been hooked to my headphones for days and am going crazy that no more are in audio yet. The performers have really done the author proud. Giving her words rich emotion and texture.

Fun and addicting series

This is the last book so far in this series. It’s so much fun and I loved every book. I hope she continues it and fast. The narration is perfect as well.

Predicable, boring, waste of time.

I totally loved all of the books in this series that preceded this one. I am utterly astonished that this book made it past the editors. There is no voice actor in the world that could have saved this festering turd of a book. The romance is totally ridiculous. Oh, I've crashed onto a prison planet. Dear me! Whatever will become of this pristine virgin in this horrible place filled with hardened criminals? Prince Charming just happens to be walking by to witness the crash. Why yes, I will accept this help from this handsome criminal. Perhaps he'll want to take my virginity. I am eager to be rid of it. From here, it gets even more pointless with no action, no sizzle, and no sense. My eyes hurt from the constant rolling due to the idiocy of the writing. Do not waste your time here folks. There's no fun here to be had.
