About this listen

Finally: immediate help for anyone tormented by persistent thoughts of suicide!

Do you crave relief from the constant depression or anxiety that’s exhausted your will to live and made suicide seem the only sensible solution to your unhappiness?

Now, you can fight back and win by unleashing the Seven Life Hacks: a “wildly original” and surprisingly simple system to crush your inner demons and make your life worth living again.

Don't Kill Yourself...Yet offers powerful guidance for mastering the unforgettable Seven Life Hacks. Each hack builds easily on the one before it, giving you memorable, effective ways to overcome your mental and emotional turmoil and take ultimate control of your thoughts, actions, and relationships. You can do this!

How does DKY...Y create this unique and innovative approach for overcoming chronic “suicidal ideation"? It trains you to track your immediate mental and emotional state and to immediately defend your life force against each negative attack the instant it occurs.

The first four hacks help you overcome persistent negative internal attacks (i.e., your own damn thoughts), and the next three hacks help you deal with challenges from other people, your daily grind, and your own body. As you crush these attacks in real-time, your life force revives, and your will to live rebounds. Soon, you feel like your old self - like your real self, again!

DKY...Y is conversational, blunt, and irreverent. It’s not your typical book on positive thinking, mindfulness, or cognitive behavioral therapy, and it probably is not for everybody. Nevertheless, if your chronic depression and anxiety have driven you to contemplate suicide, this book is for you!

Your new and much-improved future awaits.

Unleash your Seven Life Hacks, starting today!

Beating the Beast - Practical Tips!

The “7 Life Hacks” presented in Michael McTeigue’s “Don’t Kill Yourself…Yet!” are practical and can be used by anyone, NOT just those working through severe anxiety and depression! I must admit that as a middle-age-plus woman with an old schoolteacher mentality, the language and informal style of writing made it difficult initially to engage with the written version of the book. However, I really wanted to hear what this author had to say, and so I turned to the audio version. I found it more enjoyable to listen to than to read; the narrator’s voice and expression were pleasing to the ear. Throughout the book, the author presents background research and many relevant, simple examples to take action against our beastly thoughts each day. I also appreciated the author’s honest comments on “What’s Love Got to Do With It?” at the end of the book!

Personable, Relatable, Honest, & Helpful

The book took a little bit to capture my attention, but I started it when I was very tired. By the time I got a little further in, I was drawn to the pure honesty shared and relatability of this arduous life we're all smashed into together. The author easily gave references to other notable books and professional tactics that he incorporated into the work. I felt like I was having a long conversation with someone I knew well and who wasn't judging me nor telling me what to do or not to do. There was ample advice on how best to navigate this insane reality we are to exist in for now. With brief discussions of the many philosophical reasonings about our existence in life, the unanswered questions we just can't answer, I finally truly felt as if my thoughts were heard by someone somewhere; and that I wasn't swimming around in complete darkness all alone.

Even the simplistic reminder was riveting; that the person who just really p-ssd me off, has a demon of their own and is going through much the same battle in their head (even if they don't realize it), and I normally do have empathy which helps get me through some days. The suggestions for overcoming onslaught from others even made me laugh a couple of times; and I deal with treatment resistant depression every day and chronic suicidal ideation.

Listening to this author was like having an understanding, empathetic, lighthearted, yet serious at times, friend- even in the last chapter/prologue when addressing how you might feel after you've finished the book. I didn't feel shoved aside, abandoned or lost after all the advice was shared with me. It really is a book worth acknowledging for those of us struggling to navigate through life. I can say: a job well done and thank you for creating it.

It helps, and I plan to go over the ideas presented again because this IS work when you're depressed or anxious -but easy work, to try to help you feel just a tiny bit better -even if it gets you to "neutral".

Great book if you are struggling with chronic mental illness!

I'm a 21 year old female. I've been struggling with depression, anxiety and ptsd for many many years and some days I just wish I could take a vacay from life and come back when I'm ready. This content in like a therapist in a book. But one that gives ya that tough love not the kind that just nods and agrees. Not only did I realize why I have these demons that I deal with on the daily but also how to say F you to them so I can gain control of my life. I know reading wasn't very appealing to me since I was so down in the dumps. So Thank you for offering the book on audible! It made it a lot easier for people like me!:) If you are struggling to live life everyday, pls give this book a try. I know I was hesitant myself at first but I'm glad I read it:)

I’m not sure where they’re going with this approach. It’s a circular conversation and insensitive z
