Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Virtual narrator was terrible, flat and emotionless.
I actually enjoyed the story though I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was narrated by an actual person. The virtual narrator was so flat and emotionless. Didn’t emphasize at the right times or differentiate between characters which made it seem poorly written though I’m sure it really was just the AI. Want to read the next book but not sure I will if not done with a real narrator.

The virtual voice narration is the worst.
Overall the content of the book wasn’t bad, but the virtual voice narration is the worst. I’ve got well over a 100 books in my listening library and the virtual voice of this book should be reading anything more than a cooking recipe. If it hadn’t been free, I wouldn’t have listened to it.

Very boring narrator. Monotone
Narrator is a virtual voice and it shows. Only slight inflection if any, no distinction between characters, pause after every sentence. Glad it was free with subscription, because I would not have purchased this audible version.

Didn’t like the computer generated voice
I didn’t care for the computer generated voice. No warmth or emotion to the words. I would like to hear this being told by a real person.

Badly edited virtual voice
The story line for this book is good, but not excellent and the virtual voice is actually better than expected except for the fact that it is badly put together. The authors are probably trying to minimize costs and probably edited the audio themselves. I am guessing that they had mistakes throughout the book and then they went back to redo the virtual voice for those sections. Unfortunately, these sections have an unpleasant muffled voice. Switching between good quality audio to bad quality audio is annoying.
Dear authors if you are not going to pay someone to professionally generate and edit the audio, please make sure it sounds good first and don't release the audiobook until it is done correctly.
