What made the experience of listening to Duplicity Dogged the Dachshund the most enjoyable?
I was excited to see Dixie is coming out of her mourning. This will be interesting to watch this unfold. I also really love how Blaize Clement develops the animal's personality and you get a good picture of the animals.Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Not on the edge, but very interested and engaged. I loved "the snake" episode - very creative and Paco was funny. What about Julia Gibson’s performance did you like?
Her voice fits in perfectly. Please keep her for the other books from the series that your are going to record!Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
yes, I cried when she had to put down little Maime, the dachshund. It brought back memories.Any additional comments?
These are not mind twister mysteries. They are just a very enjoyable "read" a way to relax while you are doing something else that doesn't require your concentration.Audible, get the rest of this series recorded!
Another really light and fun mystery

What did you like best about Duplicity Dogged the Dachshund? What did you like least?
I still enjoyed Dixie, her interactions with the various men in her life and with her animal charges. However, I have to say I liked this book much less than the first simply because of the depictions of animal cruelty mentioned. I understand it served to create a portrait of the villain in the book, but I read mysteries with a pet sitting heroine because I love animals and therefore I am bothered by descriptions of cruelty, even though they were not particularly graphic ones. Still enjoyed the characters enough to read the next one. Wish they had it on Audible! Not as good as the first, disliked animal cruelty

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Not sure...I guess people who don't mind reading about animals being abused, euthanized and attempted murder of an innocent dog. What could Blaize Clement have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Not included the aboveAny additional comments?
As an animal lover, I found this book completely disturbing. I really enjoyed Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter so was disappointed by this installment in the series - I don't read these types of mysteries to read about animal abuse - I hear enough about that on the news. I actually skipped ahead 3 hours in the book just to find out who the killer was because I didn't want to know what would happen to the animals next. I would not recommend this book to any other animal lovers. In my view, the only redeeming factor is the narration by Julia Gibson.Completely Disturbing!
